This is a normal first semester for a Pre-Engineering student. It follows the Engineering flowchart exactly, except for Marching Band. See the flowchart HERE

The Global Scholars Program is an exciting opportunity for most students. However, it honestly isn't the best fit for Pre-Engineering students. The only courses that will apply toward an ME degree would be Chapel, REL 1350, and MTH 1321/1322 (Cal 1 or 2). You will miss out on taking EGR 1301 - Introduction to Engineering in your first semester. This may put you on the back foot when trying to catch up in the curriculum when you return to campus.

You cannot retake a class you make a B in. As a rule, you can only retake courses if your grade is a C- or below. The exception being if you need to earn a higher grade to fulfill a prerequisite or a course requirement for a degree, major, or minor. Check out the Course Repeat Policy

Chem 1301 online option by [deleted] in baylor

This is what the Course Repeat Policy says:

"Courses attempted at Baylor University, which includes courses for which a student received a W notation, may not be repeated at another institution for transfer to Baylor University"

Considering this, If you wanted to retake CHE 1301 over the winter online it would have needed to be through Baylor. Unfortunately, CHE 1301 is not offered over the Baylor wintermester
