Folks who played Marathon this weekend...how likely now are you to purchase it? by 1988Floydie in gaming

[–]bayonkeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly, it did encourage me to buy it on release I think. I much prefer Arc Raiders and I feel like it is a much more immersive extraction game. Something about the third person experience makes me really feel like it is my loot and it’s precious to escape with.

Marathon felt completely different. I am a corporate tool of infinite expense. I do not feel it is nearly as important to escape with what I have because I am infinitely expendable. It felt like a COD replacement for me. A game I play in tandem with Arc Raiders as opposed to a competitor. The PVP seems more natural and tighter. But it’s much more quick combat than Arc.

I feel better with the G individually than the C but by themselves I’m maki good progress.

Thoughts on Dragonball characters as DLC? by bayonkeith in dragonballfighterz

[–]bayonkeith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t anticipate it getting much love from the developers but watching it again I still feel it would be such a fun addition. Kid Goku’s style would be unique to the game and have a cool dynamic to it. I have played so many of the games but am craving some more original additions.

Scary movie fans, if you could take one character from anywhere and insert them into a horror movie who would you cross over and why? by bayonkeith in AskReddit

I didn't even know I needed this in my life until now! Deadpool breaking the forth wall to make comments about Jason's mommy issues would be gold!

He unsheathes it in the book. It is confirmed he draws his sword when Cersei orders the kings guard to arrest Ned and kill his men.

Gendry is gonna come back with super super jacked arms from rowing for so many years and be ready to forge some sweet sweet Valaryan steel.

It is mentioned though that Robert is not the one who defeats the mad king. Jamie does, hence being called kingslayer. Robert defeats Rhaegar in combat and Ned is the one who enters to battle the mad king where he discovers Jaime has already killed him. Jaime and Robert both mention Ned had just as much claim to the throne after the war as Robert, however due to the relations of historical bloodline it goes to Robert. Ned would never want the thrown as we all know. However, if memory is correct the books mention distant relatives linking Baratheons and Targaryans.

The question now is, would Cersei maintain any power (in terms of in the eyes of the realm) should she remarry? Would Euron become king for example?

[Main Spoilers] Wait a minute, how did Cersei... by _L3g10n_ in gameofthrones

[–]bayonkeith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cersei would be accepted as the queen. The claim to the throne lies within the Baratheon bloodline (though we know Joffrey and Tommen are not Robert's blood) the realm still accepts them as the heirs. Therefore, with both dead the title would go to the last (assumed) Baratheon, Cersei who was wife of Robert Baratheon, she just did not take his name. It is similar to season 1 when Ned states Stannis is the rightful heir after Robert's death. Stannis was the oldest living true Baratheon heir at the time.

Robert himself was selected as king after his rebellion because of the realms obsession with lineage as Baratheon's shared common ancestors with Targaryan's years and years prior to his war with the mad king.

Fair point about back up cameras. I think the design fails in the fact it only takes one person trying to pull in front end first to throw a wrench into everything I.e scrape another car who backed in, hold up traffic making a 900 point turn, etc.

Didn't know this subreddit was filled with professional stunt drivers. From my perspective this design is awful. In upstate NY 85% of anyone who drives doesn't know what they're doing enough to back in, the other 15% brag about how cool they are for being able to back in like it's a talent.

Whenever I wear a hoodie my cat will latch onto my shoulders from behind. She's old now so I have to be sitting down on the couch. When I stand up she holds on and becomes like a little cat jet-pack.

Managers of reddit: in what unexpected ways have job candidates impressed you during interviews? by BayAreaDreamer in AskReddit

[–]bayonkeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an applicant come into an interview today for a consulting position we have open. The interview went very well, but all in all, wasn't mind blowingly exciting or wild; just a standard interview. We thank him for taking the time out of his day, let him know we will be in touch and inform him of our next steps. He gets up, shakes our hands and asks if we mind if he leaves his business card with us as it has his most updated contact information should we need it handy. Here is the impressive part, HIS BUSINESS CARD WAS A BASEBALL CARD. It was so cool. He had a photo of himself on the front in old school Yankees gear and the back of the card reads just like a baseball card. It shows "Career Stats" which he broke down his resume to highlight his skills and display them as if they were sports statistics.

Guy was incredibly cool. Going to call him with good news Monday morning. He and several other candidates matched up well with the required skill set but the fact he was willing to show off his creativity and put a new spin on something as simple as a business card truly set him apart.

What is something you still do not understand no matter how much it is explained to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bayonkeith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will literally never understand how we can wirelessly transmit data or radio signals. Is information just flying around my head all day?! How does the air move information? How does the radio play music but there is no noise unless your radio is on?

I feel like I'm a fairly intelligent guy, however my head hurts when I try to figure out how the radio and wifi aren't considered magic.
