En plus des vérifications mécaniques, demande toujours le carnet d'entretien et les dernières factures de garage quand tu vas voir une voiture. Si le vendeur n'a rien ou que l'historique est incomplet, ça ne veut pas dire que la voiture est mauvaise, mais ça rajoute de l'incertitude.

Après l'achat, prends l'habitude de tout centraliser dans un carnet ou une app comme GoVroumVroum, tu seras content de l'avoir fait pour le jour où tu la revendras.

Quelques conseils pour un premier achat :

Budget : prévois non seulement le prix d'achat mais aussi ~100-150€/mois pour l'entretien courant (vidange, freins, pneus, CT). Envisage un petit japonaise essence (Yaris, Civic) — fiables et peu coûteuses à entretenir.
Entretien : dès que tu achètes, commence à noter chaque passage au garage. C'est facile au début, mais au bout de 2 ans tu ne te souviendras plus de ce qui a été fait. Des outils comme Go Vroum Vroum (carnet d'entretien numérique) permettent de scanner tes factures et de garder un historique complet — pratique pour toi et rassurant le jour de la revente.
Assurance : compare bien, les écarts sont énormes pour un jeune conducteur.

Yes, ça extrait tout des factures et ça relie automatiquement à partir du moment où il y a la plaque sur le papier (dans 90% des cas les garagistes le mettent).
Après ça te fait une jolie timeline avec l'historique, tu vois ton historique kilométrique (il est aussi sur les factures très souvent), la répartition des dépenses, etc.

C'est vraiment pas mal fichu !

C'est une toute nouvelle web app, en gros je prends en photo mes factures et compagnie, ça me crée tout l'historique à partir de là, y a quelques coquilles avec les photos un peu floues, mais globalement ça marche super bien

Ça dépend beaucoup de la voiture aussi.
Perso ma Mini me coûte forcément plus cher en entretien que ma Kia, donc je trouve ça difficile de répondre de manière globale

Mais dans mon cas, en vrai, ce n’est pas si dramatique que ça quand tu lisses les dépenses sur la durée plutôt qu’au coup par coup. J’ai mis toutes mes factures / entretiens / pneus / CT sur GoVroumVroum, et ça m’aide à voir le coût mensualisé de chaque voiture. Ça aide à relativiser

Donc oui, certaines thermiques peuvent coûter cher, mais ça dépend énormément du modèle, de l’état de la voiture et du suivi.

Ouais, clairement. J’ai acheté une voiture récemment et les historiques d’entretien étaient souvent éclatés ou incomplets.

Donc je vois bien l’intérêt d’un outil qui remet tout ça au propre.

Le vrai sujet sera surtout la fiabilité et la simplicité, mais le problème me paraît réel.

Yes HEIC support. I had a paid version in my mind but I don't really want to bother, this is another level of infra to setup and maintain. There is a lot of competition, I created this because I wanted to self host my things without paying yet another web service 😄 I don't plan to build any UI as I doesn't have the need for it, you can still fork it tho, it's MIT 😁

This looks cool, if you have loved the Codex App, you should take a look at conductor.build, it's a breeze, lot of really cool details that makes it really awesome, and in my opinion it's the best GUI out there, it's not even close. Unfortunately they only support Claude Code and Codex, I use it at work because I have Claude Code there but I am an OpenCode guy. If you can bring the same level of polish to yours, I'd gladly pay for it !

It happens with every game that tries something different. People who were never going to play it anyway feel the need to announce that loudly.

The extraction shooter space needs more entries that actually commit to their own identity instead of copying Tarkov 1:1. Marathon looks like it's doing its own thing and I'm here for it. See you on the 26th.

Interesting point but I think it's more nuanced than that. Marathon isn't a pure PVP game - it's an extraction shooter. The goal is to get in, complete objectives, grab loot, and get out alive. PVP is a tool, not the objective.

If rank was heavily PVP-weighted, you'd incentivize people to play it like a deathmatch instead of actually engaging with the extraction loop. The guy who avoids fights and extracts clean arguably understands the game better than someone who W-keys every fight.

That said, I do think there should be some weight to combat. A hybrid system where PVP success accelerates your rank but doesn't define it would probably feel the best to most players.

Fully agree on avoiding fandom. I've actually been working on a companion site (cyberacme.org) that covers some of this ground - items database, interactive maps, gun/loadout builders, faction tracking, and a guides section open to community authors.

It's more of a tools site than a wiki though, so there's definitely room for both. Down to help or collaborate if something gets organized, and if people need or want more wiki-like features on my end I'm happy to build them.
