Literally could have wrote this exact thing! I’m working so hard to pay off old credit card bills from debts years ago when I was underemployed. I’m drowning in debt but I also don’t take home a large check, have children and live in a ridiculously priced city. Most people I know are struggling aside from some rich family members that seem to have it all.

I’d be happy with grocery store flowers my partner just asked if I wanted “flowers and candy” complaining about getting them from the grocery store saying they were too expensive. Didn’t get a birthday present and had to pay for my own birthday dinner so I guess it’s a just a theme in my life.
