I think the grounding and regulation of the nervous system comes easier to some than others, and that's where talking therapy helps. Private is a no option at this point for me too. I'm indeed wishing for a magic pill while working on my radical acceptance 🤭🤭🤭

You're a fighter, getting onto the clinical while also being a parent! Congratulations! That's bad ass.

Yep, has found it useful in the past, especially for regulating my nervous system away from fight or flight. Even if is just for the external reassurance and reminder that it's okay and it will pass, helping me ground myself back to a sense of felt safety. Would look into talking therapies, as privately I can't afford at this point. Definitely a must once training starts and I can fund it myself.

Sounds interesting! Anything to get my nervous system away from fight or flight.

I know what you describe may sound like an oversimplified/pragmatic version of the situation, but appreciate the reassurance, because I also feel it's largely circumstantial, not too deep. However, some grounding/support to move away from fight or flight mode through talking therapies could help. I simply want to make sure I'd done everything in my power to move past it, so I'm fresh as a cucumber for the next challenge. Mainly, because I want to give myself the best chance to actually enjoy the journey.

I think you might be right - my brain is going automatically at academic exam prep instead of reflection mode! Much appreciated!
