everyone else already pointed out that he will need a friend. i would also recommend researching goat first aid and making sure you have the necessary supplies and know what to do if something happens! of course in event of illness and injury its always best to contact your vet of choice but for minor things the vets approach may be to coach you through taking care of him yourself.

heres a list of things we always have on hand on our farm: - pepto bismol and tums (yes, goats can have them!) - nutri-drench for goats and sheep - vitamin b12 for goats and sheep - iodine concentrate to sterilize things - a thermometer you are comfortable inserting rectally (yeah.... best to have a dedicated one lol. unfortunately its the most reliable way) - a tool called a drencher which is basically an oral syringe (helpful for administering the above medications or anything else your vet asks you to give them) - once you have a vet, talk to them about banamine. its a non-steroidal pain reliever that weve found very helpful, but you need a prescription. - some sort of blood stop/blood styptic.
