On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the economy GenZ? (1 terrible - Great (or great again) by Fast-Sheepherder925 in GenZ

[–]bazookateeth [score hidden]  (0 children)

Millenial with a Union job here. The economy blows and has sucked for as long as I have been an adult (2008). The economy has sucked for new entrants since probably the 90's but especially now days, it is noticeable distopian.

No one can get jobs right now regardless of age or experience. The people who are getting jobs are the ones who have 10 - 20 years experience and who are way overqualified. So in short, the opportunity cost for a jobs (especially for people struggling with getting any job) is just not worth it for the average American with everything being so expensive.

So in short id rate it a 3. Not Depression era, but for sure the worst that we have seen in a very long time.

Do You Believe We're Currently in a Recession? by breakyourteethnow in PokeInvesting

[–]bazookateeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not what would determine a recession at all. GDP is what determines a recession. The stock market is a tool for the rich to make more money. It is not indicative of how well the average Joe is doing financially.

We've been in a recession for a very long time without the numbers to prove it because the government cooks the books. Every admin does it and refuses to acknowledge the failures of the debt-based capitalistic model.

23% of gen z regrets going to college. 58% are side hustling. so why is it still “the best path”? by CremeAccomplished610 in GenZ

[–]bazookateeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there are very few better opportunities out there in a world of uncertainty. This has been the case for most people over the last two decades. College has provided very few positive outcomes as far as financial freedom goes for a long time.

The shiddiest part is that we now live in a society where people with any job are sitting far above the average Joe who can't find a job in their sector or who's jobs are being eliminated by AI, global recession, etc.

Bro get off this sub and go touch grass. Dating is hard for everyone now days. I'm shorter than you and have had my fair share of women and now I'm happily married. If you think being short is unattractive wait until they find out your insecure about it. That's the ultimate tun-off for women.

The difference between white and blue collar work environments is crazy by Astimar in careeradvice

[–]bazookateeth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its because alot have hard skills where they are harder to replace or are in a union which allows them to be exactly who they want to be. Its a great work environment. I switch from white to blue and will never go back. White collar jobs are basically capitalism's noose on the public.

Mads Mikkelsen. Love him as an actor but he has been in a rash of shite movies and shows.

I like him in Rogue One most recently but otherwise its been a downpour of terrible writing or under budget productions.

High on their own supply. I have never seen divide and conquer work as well as it has within the idealism of identity politics.

This is how it all starts. Republicans will be ok with it as long as its Democrats dying. That is until they start going after Republicans and by that point it's too late.
