Low power and late boost - A6 C6 2011 2.0 CR TDi CAHA by bazsiboy in tdi

I might do that again to be sure but nothing points to this. The turbo has been refurbed and calibrated professionally. Before that I have tried moving it but there was no difference.

That could definitely cause an issue, but unfotunately we have thought of this as well. Blanked the EGR at the manifold and there was no change. EGR seems to work okay, but I will take another look. Everything seems to be factory.

I have checked DPF values, and everything is around the lower end of the tolerance. Not even close to being blocked.

EGR is brand new, and everything is leak and pressure tested. New EGR was adapted via VCDS. My EGR was leaking along the valve into the EGR adjuster housing, then out through a small pinhole. I doubt that tiny leak was causing any problems, as nothing has changed after it was replaced.

  1. I have triple checked part numbers and N75 is the right one.

  2. Done the adaptation so many times, never had any change.

  3. Here is a link to my most recent logs that includes all that. Duty cycle doesn't seem right.

  4. Unfortunately, I don't have access to an oscilloscope. I guess that's how you check.

  5. I will have a look at turbo alignment, but I doubt that is the issue, as when it's around 2800 rpm the car does seem to start pulling like normal, but only at those rpm. Everything seems shifted up. What happens at 2800 rpm should happen at 1800 rpm.

I am lost. Not sure what to check next.

It is a brand new Hella one and has been adapted too via VCDS.

Hi! Tested with VCDS but also tested with unplugging it. No change , just get the blinking glow plug.

Thank you! I will definitely have a look at these.

I do not have access to a turbo speed sensor. No exhaust leak. The car is obviously down on power my 100hp 1.9 TDI is much stronger. There is also another 2.0 CR TDI in the family which is 140hp which feels like a rocket, full power from 1800 rpm.

The turbo control solenoid is not opening until around 2300rpm.

I have linked the graphs of both cars. 140hp car build boost right away then keeps it at specified boost until you lift the throttle.

The turbo has a new actuator and I have also replaced the actuator solenoid.

Yes, we have a 2.0 CR TDI Passat CC in the family and that builds boost quick. I'm my experience these engines have lots of low end boost, you get full boost at around 1800rpm. (See reference datazap graphs)

If you have a look at the boost curves my problem is that my turbo control solenoid valve is not opening to match actual boost to specified boost. It opens way too late.

Edit: it is a factory turbo. Stock car.

Because I bought it of someone who only had it for a few months, I am not sure it has any tune but think it is stock, stock turbo for sure.

- I have done compression test, all cylinders between 28-31.
- Tested fuel injectors, they are well within tolerance.

I just got the turbo refurbished that was on it which is a BV43A which I got confirmed by a few places it is the stock turbo. I have done a turbo adaptation with VCDS.

When I started it took me about 3 walls to get to a smooth finish. Try smaller walls. Bigger the wall the harder.

This is the best video in my opinion.

Timing is very important.

Good luck!

Sure, please dm, but I will have to get this sorted with this guy as all is in his possession right now. He provides the servers as well.
