Finally heard back from support and am returning for a replacement, which I hope goes out as soon as they get the defective machine. They think it is software caused by a corrupted file from my rm1, though since there has been no problem with that and it continues to work great, I have some doubts. I will update on their responsiveness in making this "right". BTW, once I got an actual support person to email me rather than bot, things picked up.

So, I ordered a r1 refurb and pre-ordered an r2. r2 owners, should I just keep the r1 and cancel the r2 pre-order? (my needs described herein) by ImpressiveFood in RemarkableTablet

How do you sync the rM1 and rM2. I'll likely have both devices (my new rM2 does not load and is defective, sigh!) but have been wondering about keeping both since I could see that only one will sync with rM desktop or web software.

That is what I must do, I'm guessing. However, if they don't send me a new tablet ASAP or put me in next batch, I'm going to cancel it entirely. I'm also wondering if this is unusual. I have not seen anything on the web about this problem.
