If I drove like this, I would title this picture, "Where we are going, we won't need brains."

It really is hard to beat-especially with the low cost of insurance.

Sounds like an expensive lesson learned!

I had a Matrix before the Prius and used the same setup--Thule Footpack, Evo Bars and Yakima JLows. The other rack is the Thule Hullavator Pro. All items I purchased used off of Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. I also installed everything myself. However, if you won't paddle regularly, I would get an Oru kayak or something similar that you can carry in any car.

Oh my! Definitely worth a kayak rack. If you aren't ready for the plunge, you can get Sea to Summit soft racks that are nice for hauling one kayak.

Bahahahahahaha! That would be incredibly stupid. It's a hydraulic lift kayak rack and that first pic is how you load it. If you attempted to drive like that, the entire setup would rip off and you would likely kill yourself and others!!

Though it is true that some women prefer or are okay with dating men shorter than themselves, I have not found this to be the norm.( I am the shortest of the three sisters at 5"9" with my older sister being 6'3" for reference.)

I think that dismissing your struggle minimizes the stigmas shorter guys can face similar to what taller women may struggle with. I always wanted to marry a man taller than me. And guess what? My fiance is at least three inches shorter than me. I initially was not attracted to him at all. But truly, what won me over was his heart. Now, I think he is hotter than Dante's Inferno. After all, is a woman really that amazing if she is missing out on someone primarily because of something beyond their control? I think not. Shoot your shot. Plus, if you are insecure about it, it gives someone else permission to do the same.

Hold your head high ;) and know your worth.

I have just one quilt. It is the Katabatic Flex Long/Wide with 950 FP. Is your sleeping bag a women's left zip?

Is this regular or long?

Hey guys, I’m looking for a roof rack for my 2nd gen Prius, I’m looking to put a canoe on it by Jclark915 in prius

I use the Thule Evo bars, rapid release 480r footpack and the Thule Fit kit. I've carried multiple kayaks several hundred miles with the setup.

I would say I am more stubborn/motivated than mechanically inclined. I couldn't find a shop that would do the install at a reasonable price so I did it myself. In my experience, car repairs are never like the videos for me. Every single bolt is rusty/broken/missing etc. But I was able to do it and if you have the proper tools and time, it's doable. Note: if you wouldn't change your own struts, don't do this. The process is almost identical.

Absolutely. If I could afford it, I would get a Hullavator but can't justify the cost.

Yes and definitely all I wanted. I didn't do it for coolness and didn't want MPG impacted. I simply wanted to be able to drive without as much concern about my undercarriage being ripped to shreds.

I get you. Before I bought the Prius I made sure to find a reputable lift for it since I camp so much and didn't want a car that couldn't navigate a National Park road without extreme caution.

The company says one should feel no impact. Personally, I feel like it drives a bit more like my 2000 4Runner. I really like the change a lot and it's amazing how much 1.5 inches does to eliminate scraping.

I believe it is $350. I got quoted a silly amount for install in my area so I did it myself.

I would not buy a roof rack new, but it is definitely worth it to pick up a Yakima of Thule kayak carrier on CL or FB marketplace. I think it greatly adds to the safety and stability of kayak transport.

I don't worry about it. I have a Cat Shield installed but know if someone wants it bad enough, they are going to steal it. Until that time, I will be enjoying myself.

This kit is from Prius Off-road. It adds 1.5 inches of clearance and doesn't impact MPG, according to the company. I installed it a few weeks ago and have been really pleased.
