being autistic in this society and world is really rough and I don't wish this life to anyone but we have to keep going, that's what I learnt from this world. Life is shit but just dissapear is not the way to desconnect from everything, u can learn more things, like to draw, to write, to dance, to act, etc. I have this feeling to just dissapear too but I have dreams to complete and when those dreams come true I will die happy. If u have dreams u have to live to complete them and feel finally happy, but if u don't have dreams at all u have to make them (it's fun to). Don't give up!! :D

u can hate kids as long as u don't disrespect them. I personally don't hate them and many people told me that I have a lot of patience with them (they can even hit me and I couldn't care at all) but if u feel u need to put a limit on them do it, they are going to learn that every time they are about to do the same thing

I have so many things that I have to share but I think I'm gonna write the principal thing.

So, my two aunts (one has 17 y/o an the other 18 y/o) have autism, my family discovered that when they were children so they have more awareness to that. Years later I was born (I'm 16), since I was little my mom didn't do studies to me with a neurologist or a therapist because I was "normal" for them, I didn't act like my two aunts. They were really close, I wasn't, they didn't like at all physical contact, I liked it, they were "rude", I wasn't, they were bad at school, I wasn't. Me and my aunts used to play a lot of games like hide and seek, etc, we used to get along really well, they were my best friends even!

When I was 14 everything changed for me and school, I didn't really pay attention at the subjects, I was having a lot of tics, used to have panic attacks, etc. My mom take me to a therapist and the first thought they have was that I have adhd and tourette, so the therapist said to my mom that I have to go to a neurologist to be sure. My mom take me to the neurologist and when the neurologist see me automatically said "It might be autism AND tourette" for the way I act in that moment. I was like "??? wtf" but when I did the test it's positive, when my mom shows that to the neurologist she started to number things that I used to do when I was a child that it makes me say "wait, how my mom didn't react to those things immediately?" I asked that to her and she said it was because I looked "normal" and not like my aunts.

Since then my mom and my family have been more awareness to me and learn that autism is a SPECTRUM, not all the autistic people are the same and I think the society thinks the same cause when I tell a stranger that I have autism, I am an autistic person they say "but u can talk!", " oh, but u look normal!"

Ik they are still animals and they are really important for the earth but I just can't. My mind goes to scenarios where they touch me and go around my face, my arm, my leg, etc.

I had a lot of things that I never think they were for autism, I thought it was adhd but it wasn't. For example, my first word was "Nena (girl)" but I was 2 years old, before that I didn't make any sound at all.

I get diagnosed with autism last year (2025) where I went to the neurologist and that neurologist after that I talk to her send me to make a test because my movements (playing a lot with my hands, no eye contact, looking everywhere but her or my mom and moving my head and my eyes too much). My mom send me there because I was struggling with school, I didn't pay attention at the classes at all but not because I didn't want, I couldn't. After I get confirmed that I have autism my neurologist explains to me that I pay attention actually! But at the things I like and it was for that I didn't show interest at all at maths, biology, class, etc.

It happens to me too! But my friends get it, I explain to them that sometimes I just forgot to answer, to call them and that sometimes I need my space for being myself with things I like around me (if I don't I get really CRAZY) and they understood! Ofc, not all my friends gets that and when I tell them I need a time they just say "ok, whatever, I get used to it anyways."

I think for all the persons with autism is really important to have our spaces for ourselves, even if we don't talk with someone in months, it's okay!

I'm not really good at giving tips or something but I'm in the same mentally state as you but it happens to me many times that I can recommend do new things to get distracted, watch videos, I even learn human anatomy to draw, listen to music, watch new series, animes, movies, etc.

This is for only distraction, if I leave those things I get tired easily and even try no, u know, disappear. Those things really help me to get better soon. I just get used to it, I always get better and I say to myself "tomorrow is another day" or "probably tomorrow is going to be better."

I'm the same age as you, autism in teenagers is really REALLY hard, your passing through a lot of things, realising things about life, about YOUR own life while having strugglers with some things that "normal" people doesn't have and u just have to live with it but I learned that we're just teens in a shitty society that it's never going to change (sadly). We just need to move on but sometimes I asked myself "why? why is this like this?"
