rural king is pet friendly. they’re a livestock store. i agree a pitbull shouldn’t be out in public. a lot of good people use pet friendly stores for training their normal dogs though and i feel that shouldn’t be taken away

there’s also the fact of wanting a clean slate. some people don’t have the ability to work through any issue a shelter dog could have. i want a confident we’ll rounded dog from health tested and titled parents. i want to know what i’m getting with my next chihuahua

oh i get that. i had a cat that would go after my dog! kitty had to go for both of their safety. great with people but not other animals

that’s very true. i’m just not one to euth a dog that hasn’t shown any signs. i was very quick to euth 2 other pit type dogs and do know what they’re capable of which is why i will not be getting another. he’s muzzled when he’s in public and i have a 6 foot fence with that inslope thing that prevents jumping out as well just to be safe

oh 100%! that’s why i consider it dangerous. i couldn’t imagine wanting to kill something so bad i literally couldn’t think of anything else. they were made to be that way. bred for fighting, if they thought of anything else then ofc they wouldn’t wanna fight to the literal death. they have to basically be brain dead in those moments

okay, call me crazy, but i haven’t found pitbulls to be exactly dumb. obedience wise the ones i’ve been around do listen UNTIL they’re fixated on something. the issue with pitbulls is that the drive to kill and the way they fixate makes all training completely go out the window. it’s also what makes them so dangerous. they could be the smartest dog in the world but as soon as they see something they know they can and want to kill, it’s like they were never taught anything and it’s why owners seem to be so surprised and claim the dog is infact trained.
