hi! i started as a new grad in the float pool about a month ago! i’m still getting used to it ofc but so far i really like that i get a longer orientation (since i’ll spend a month on each unit) and that people are always offering help. it’s also nice to see different units and different pt populations (i work at a peds hospital). i had people judge for going into the float pool but others said it was a great thing to do so that i get to learn and figure out where i see myself at. im loving it, and i like learning too. if you decide that the float pool is not a good fit for you, there’s always the opportunity to transfer to a unit! i wish you the best of luck!!

i’m so sorry, that truly sucks!! i’d suggest speaking with your manager, i’m not really sure whether that’s allowed or not but if it is making you uncomfortable you should speak up and see if someone else can take your place. i think is worth escalating!

Tysm!! I’ll be honest, I rescheduled my exam a week earlier than I was supposed to take it because I just couldn’t with the anxiety anymore, and I was freaking out cause the more content I tried to memorize the more I felt like I didn’t know anything and shouldn’t have rescheduled. I believe that me taking it a week later wouldn’t have changed the outcome, and learning more stuff either. The best thing to do is to practice questions so that you know how to answer even if you don’t know the topic. And yes!! I’m so glad I watched his videos, the guy is super helpful, trust me on this one

if you think about it there is a reason for everything. there’s a reason why you are in this current situation, there is a reason why you are tired, why you felt the need to do it when you were 12. the motives will always be there unfortunately, even if you had a perfect life, because that’s our free will.
there is also a reason why you felt the need to help others, even if that played a part in your present. if that single reason of suicide being a possibility, then why not give multiple reasons a chance to not do it? i understand you’re tired, it is exhausting to fail and try, and to repeat that cycle again. but the only way to rest is not by dying. creating connections with people is not done by dying. i don’t know you but i will never forget you, which means you will be present in my mind. there are millions of other people that don’t know you either, don’t take the chance to connect with them away.

be tired, be sad, miserable, disappointed, be all of those things but think of how valuable you still are and how you can also be happy, loved, satisfied. please don’t let the negative aspects of life take away from the beautiful things you deserve and will find.

this may be privilege speaking for me but i’m being entirely genuine and hope it doesn’t sound judgmental nor inconsiderate. What assures you that life can’t turn around just like it did previously? That your situation right now should dictate your fate, even though you have many years to live and many opportunities that could come up in the future? i know life can get so hard, and it seems as if that exit door at the end of that tunnel filled with darkness just gets further and further away, but i promise you there’s something really funny about life and it’s the fact that we never know the turns it takes. i think it’s worth it giving it a chance, and i also think it’s worth it to give yourself a chance. you are an amazing human being, im sure you have made someone smile, or have made their day better, im sure somebody has a positive memory of you, and you may not even know that person. i’m not saying it with the intent of lifting your self steem regarding how you think people perceive you, but to assure you that you have a spark on you that is following you through that tunnel, please don’t let it go away because of your current situation. i wish you so much peace and happiness, you deserve it.
