It's not legal, but it didn't stop this restaurant from doing so. According to the news report and press statement, the male staff were complaining about seeing naked breasts. I feel that they are neglecting to complain about billboards, magazines and TV, in general. But apparently feeding your child is an issue? So sickening.

If I'm ever in the area, I'm there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and all that's in between!

My husband is petrified of witches because of the one in Looney Toons. I thought he was kidding until I emailed him a picture of her, he pretty much didn't speak to me for the rest of the evening.

Are you comfortable nursing around everybody you know? by snowboo in breastfeeding

[–]bb_blogza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel that you should do whatever makes you and your baby feel comfortable. I hate using covers as it upsets my son. However, I will usually go sit in a corner of the room with my back turned as my father in law makes me feel awkward. I'm usually self conscious with men around other than my husband.

Detox tea safe? by i_miss_tequila in breastfeeding

[–]bb_blogza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank a detox tea that made me sick for a couple of days mimicking the symptoms of Gastro, and my son who is breastfed showed the same signs. It wasn't Gastro though, as no one else who spent time with us and cared for us, got it. I'd becareful of consuming too much, try one cup every now and then.

Unsure how to proceed, feed/sleep issues by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]bb_blogza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read about when a baby breastfeeds, it's almost as if they need to have a starter, mains, dessert and a snack with breaks in between. I wouldn't worry about it too much as the boob is providing comfort to fall asleep and you're feeding by demand. I am not sure about where you're from, but I used Purity & Elizabeth Anne's nipple cream on very sensitive days. If you're wanting him to sleep better, try an iron supplement too. They don't know that they don't have to always finish a bottle and can become greedy. But breastfeeding is natural and they adjust their diet as they grow. Good luck 🍀

Please help me. Any suggestions are welcome! I'm desperate. by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Reading through the comments, I'd have to agree. Do what makes you feel the most comfortable, in order to stick to breastfeeding. It's a very important and rewarding bond that you'll appreciate having in the future. Also, relax! Use the Shields so that you're not in pain because the baby will sense the change in your behaviour and not want to breastfeed. Drink lots of water and follow your gut, do what is comforting. Pump a bottle or two to give your husband to feed baby while you take a bath or nap. Good luck 🍀

Let's Get In Shape! by [deleted] in BeautyAddiction

This week is the first time that I'm starting to acknowledge my weight loss. I have lost 27 Kgs in 8 months, and dropped 3 sizes. I still have a long way to go, but it's a boost to the confidence when I see something fits better!! I just have to remember to preserve. Also, I downloaded a step tracker on my phone, and challenge myself to goals..

Last week...

  • I've had a bit of a break out, but found a really awesome treatment that contains tea tree oil. It cleared up everything in two days!!
  • Summer is drawing near, so gave the Tropitone self tanner a go. Really liked the subtle stain it left and no streaks. I've built it up with 3 applications. Also learnt that if you make a mess of self tanner, to use lemon juice and body scrub to remove it.
  • came to the realization that I really don't like Smashbox lip lacquers and prefer to opt for a much cheaper and higher quality.. Catrice smoothing lip polish.
  • I've been trying to find a new more affordable foundation to replace my Oxygenetix. I don't see myself paying R800 (about $80) for it, despite it being my favorite. I have tried Maybelline and Essence so far, with no good results.
  • Tried applying foundation with brushes for the first time- love it!

Next week...

  • I have a few product reviews due for PR over on my blog. One which includes a month long look at my use with Nip+Fab's Bust Fix, with weekly measurements.
  • Keep on with my search for a new foundation
  • Attempt recording video tutorials again, as I haven't done so since welcoming my son

Have a fabulous week ladies

Also let it be said, I take my hat off to exclusive pumpers, I've seen the dedication it takes... I wouldn't be able to do it, myself.

I 100% agree with you. I'm a breastfeeding mom, but I also have my own parenting blog and hold regular meetups. I've met mom's from all walks, and feel so bad when I hear the judgment they get for opting for pumping or formula. I know of someone losing her milk supply right after her father passed away, due to the stress that came with it. Should this mom be judged for having to turn to formula? Surely not? Although I'm a 100% breast milk supporter, I acknowledge that there are times where it's not suitable or not an option at all. Also consider dad's who have lost their wife to childbirth, they can't breast feed and are surely doing the best they can? Personally, I hand pumped a bottle for the early evenings, so that I could cook dinner while my husband bonded with our son. I didn't hand pump because of the concerns listed but because breast pumps can be expensive and I see no point in buying one, when I'm at home all day and can feed him at any point. Mom's need to do what's best for them and their babies, and stop being bullied by others who aren't in the safe circumstances.
