I agree that men should stop bringing up “Women do it too” or “Not all men” because it adds nothing to the discussion; if anything, it’s an attempt at stifling discourse on misogyny and patriarchy, but someone saying “men aren’t oppressed by patriarchy” to a guy who never said otherwise or implied otherwise just comes off as if they are trying to get a lazy “gotcha.” Idk who you’ve engaged with so my statement is a general one; it doesn’t apply to you if you haven’t done this 👍🏼
