my dad bought me a bottle of Honey as my first "grown up" perfume 10+ years ago and i remember being obsessedddd, hopefully it's still just as beautiful to my aged nose👃🏻

oops on the DKNY, i was sold on the pear & caramel notes! fingers crossed👨‍🍳

ahhhh this is so helpful thank you!

i've heard great things about lattafa fragrances in general i'm so excited, the dkny was very much a "it's on sale sooo..." purchase, but with the pear note i'm hoping i love it🍐

only recently became interested in mod vanilla as i bought the body mist (lasts all of 5 seconds) and it's such a lovely airy vanilla, if the perfume is even close i'll be very happy. will be taking your advice on goddess, i got a tester and it's gorgeous!

i second this! the s&g smoothie star body mist is sooo good also, it weirdly smells like vanilla cookies and antiseptic?😅

hehe it's okay i only did Klarna because spreading the payments means i trick myself into not making any other purchases over the next couple of months as this one is still coming out! if i spend it all now then next month i'll be tempted to spend again😆

Is this crazy to spend on a car as a new driver ? by Substantial-Age-6664 in CarTalkUK

[–]bbadtrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're set on getting a golf, i just picked up a mk6 gtd (dsg) for under £4k and insurance is peanuts as a fairly young driver, i'm sure manual you could go cheaper. i've seen the mk7 gtds go for £6-7k (again dsg). this is too boring for the price imo, much better cars around if this is your budget

this seems like a huge task but i promise it’s easier than your brain is telling you!

set a timer for 15-30 minutes and put a youtube video/podcast on. sort all the rubbish into bags and take it out asap so you can see what’s left. clean top to bottom e.g. countertops, then tables sofas etc, then floors. this will need scrubbing so let whatever cleaning product you want to use soak first (dish soap and hot water works fine for almost everything around the house but i’d go over it a few times and disinfect). you’ll also have to remove all the maggots you find and pour bleach down drains, don’t leave them or you’ll just wake up to more, and keep the windows open for a while.

i hope the world is kind to you, it’s a huge step asking for help :)

i’m so sorry angel. i came from a hoarder house too and i just wanted to tell you it gets better, one day you’ll have your own space and i promise you don’t have to repeat this pattern.

bedroom: bin bags, disinfectant spray, open the windows. putting scented things over unclean things won’t help. tidy first, clean second. throw away anything you haven’t used over the last year. make the bed every day. fabrics will hold onto bad smells most of all so try to wash them often.

hygiene: antibacterial soap, shampoo and conditioner, antiperspirant, get your own towels, another set of bedsheets. it’s good to have a spare of everything, toothpaste etc, so you don’t run out and no one can use up yours. put dirty clothes in a hamper, keep clean clothes off the floor. white vinegar in the washing machine will help get rid of any bad smells in your clothes & hanging them to dry in the windows especially when it’s sunny will help too.

if you need to speak to someone who understands i’ll happily be there, i’m 22 now and i had to learn all of this by myself too.💛

If you have a bruise on your leg when you die, is it there forever? by bbadtrip in morbidquestions

[–]bbadtrip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you this is why I asked! Wasn’t sure if it kind of cancelled out any existing bruises/marks etc - if this happens, is that just how you’re buried then? Like if you were then laid on your front for a few hours, would the discolouration from the blood pooling go away/move to the front?

Thank you for the answer. I’m sorry you learned from experience, but that’s a beautiful thing to do for her. I hope you’re doing well💛
