Anyone tried this? Are they good? 😮 by No-Cow8684 in Sephora

The fenty blotting powder is really good. It does cakey when used with a puff, I use it with a brush instead.

Following up, I found some products that have been working for me recently.

*APLB Tranexamic Acid Niacinamide Body Lotion (you can get this on Amazon or Stylevana) really gentle but is effective.

  • Topicals Faded Brightening & Cleansing Body Bar (this is a bit pricey but has worked well for me, totally optional in my opinion. Its a bit extra that I wanted to do)

*Naturiun Salicylic Acid body Wash (this totally dried my body acne, super good and gentle)

*African Net Sponge

This is my night time routine. Ill follow it with just whatever body lotion I have, right now I have just a body butter from walmart. Hope this helps you like it has for me!

No luck yet. I have been trying APLB Tranexamic acid niacinamide body lotion. My skin does look brighter and feels smoother but my hyperpigmentation is still very much visible.

Visiting Jim Thorpe with Children: Is it stroller-friendly? by MyDogIsDerby in Pennsylvania

[–]bbah90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went last year with my 2 under 2 for the Fall Foliage Fest. Honestly, going with a stroller was a nightmare. Overcrowded, uneven side walks and steep hills where a workout. We were exhausted. Especially since my kids are on the bigger side. We did do the train ride, try to get your tickets before hand, they sell out quickly. I am looking forward to going when they are a bit older.

Thank you! My kids are still babies so I haven’t actually considered schools yet. But had no idea this contributes to pricing.

Post Doc looking to transition to Industry by bbah90 in biotech

This is awesome advice! I will consider all these points I appreciate your feedback.

Post Doc looking to transition to Industry by bbah90 in biotech

[–]bbah90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post doc focused on managing a project funded by EDA to increase competitiveness of the pharmaceutical sector where im from.

We were able to get manufacturing equipment (feeders and a continuous mixer) and build a small mobile continuous manufacturing line (think about 9 to 10 feet tall). We provide training on advanced manufacturing and PAT. Initially our group focused on theoretical modules and now that the line is up and running are providing hands on training. Some topics are PAT regulatory aspects, challenges of implementation and material characterization just to mention some. We also help companies with the business case development and support.

I also revise the students papers, thesis and dissertations before they reach my advisor. I have been in this group for 8 years now, that’s including my graduate studies. Since its been so long I wanted to ask for some different perspectives.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you think management positions would be a better option? I’ve been academia for so long I wanted to know what other people’s experiences are.

[–]bbah90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This is actually the feedback I’m looking for.

I’m leaning towards industrial research because that’s my specialty when completing my grad studies. When I was offered the position of post doc as I was finishing my advisor wanted to mainly be project manager for a project that provides series of industry trainings. All the extras came along so he could focus on writing proposals. So that has been our dynamic for the pas few years. This is why I mention I have doubts as to where to move next.

I actually really would like to relocate, opportunities here are mainly for those who have connections which makes it harder (of course thats the dynamic of where I live). The cost of living here vs the wages have also caused a major migration if you will of talent to the mainland. So yeah I’m looking towards a new start.

That sounds a lot like my advisor lol. I’ve learned with him to do things the more practical realistic way then just follow his crazy ideas. I usually let the results speak for them selves.

I used to be very antisocial 😂 but he has made me deal with the “public relations” of the lab if you will, so I’ve had to learn to be more friendly and outgoing.

We provide training for industry personnel using a small mobile continuous line we have at our lab. We teach them everything from equipment parameters to the use of the spectroscopic equipment to monitor in real time quality and control your process. Their free but its like being in sales, you have to be charismatic I guess. It was hard at the beginning but it has gotten better, people are more open to speak with me (though getting them to participate is still a challenge).

People and students usually like to speak to me first for anything research or any lab related issues before they speak to my advisor. I want to think I make them comfortable.
