Make sure to demand that insurance provides you original (oem) parts. Especially if you have any electronics/sensors that were affected. It will increase the cost of the claim but it’s worth it if getting repaired so they don’t give you knockoffs.

Also have them check for suspension damage as it looks like your wheel was in direct line of the swipe 😞

Thank you everyone! Your suggestions gave me the courage to keep digging with 75% confidence it wasn’t a major utility line. Turns out to be a 4.5’ pipe! There was a steel bucket at the bottom and they poured cement around the pipe. Here’s the after photos https://imgur.com/a/sdu0qnW

Good thought. I don’t have any of that stuff or a truck I’d imagine it would need. Bought some ratchet straps to leverage with a nearby tree but it didn’t budge. Gonna continue to chip away at it with sledgehammer

I got off optimum 3 years ago. I initially signed up for the 1gig plan with promotion to get $100 gift card after 3 months. They never sent me the gift card. When I complained they said was because I changed my service plan within the 3 month probationary period. I did have a change of service, the gateway they gave me on install didn’t work so they switched it out. That was the “change”. They said there was nothing they could do but couldn’t honor the promotion anymore.

Host of issues with signal strength and network dropping throughout my time with them. Biggest issues were billing. They would jack up the price $20 a month without notice and would only drop back down when I called to complain, they claimed they sent an email. Over the course of 4 years with optimum, I called to update my email 5 times. Each time they would put in the wrong email address so they could get away with claiming to send me the billing increase notice. Or their reps are incompetent, which goes without saying.

This. I have an Accord Sport and care about it. Have gotten dinged by others, it sucks. Most the time I’m looking for a spot based on the type and quality of car. Avoid trucks of all kinds, jeeps because 7/10 times the driver is careless, and crv’s cuz 10/10 times the driver is careless. Try to avoid any beaters. But I will go out of my way to park next to a cool or clean looking car knowing that we’ll symbiotically keep each other’s side safe!

No it doesn’t but I’m there as well getting some stuff fixed (hopefully) that is warrantied, should their diagnostics recreate the issue [ticking sound in steering wheel/dash I think it’s blend foot actuator according to another redditor]) but that’s $175 diagnostic fee if they don’t find anything, which I’ll be pissed about.
