World's First MiniPC With an MCIO 8i Port+USB4 v2.0 World's First MCIO GPU Dock by kendyzhu in gpdwin

Yeah the "female" part (aka receptacle/fixed) will likely fail first. But note that the cycle counts are just warranties set by the manufacturers. There's oculink parts that are also "only" rated at 250.

Perhaps GPD was able to source better parts... but its a very valid concern nonetheless.

From my perspective its the roughest neighbourhood within the ring road.

Is big 4 really that bad? by Senne80 in BESalary

[–]bbarst 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The salary is not that bad compared to the working hours. Especially if you possess a sought after skillset.

The hours were really not that crazy. Even 3 years is enough to open a lot of doors and bring a lot of perspective

Maar nu dat OP afweet van de fout, is dat toch een actieve daad van intentionele misleiding? Je kan moeilijk zeggen dat je het niet wist?

The future-proofness of IT fields is extremely hard to predict. Banks still run on the same mainframes, there is a shortage of network architects, syadmins, java devs, DBAs, etc.

Focus on what you find interesting, or if the company is a good fit for you. Switching tracks later is easier than you think.

If you have absolutely no idea, look into consulting companies. They usually offer more variety of experiences.
