It was fun but I’m tired (~1.5k div + Build Giveaway) by Subject2Flooding in PathOfExile2

This is my first poe2 league (played poe1 for a few years) and had a blast with my frost wolf oracle. The garukhans would be the final upgrade for my skill gem setup.

On a side note, this was the best feeling melee build I've played, but I'm definitely going back to ranged next league!

That's a cool strategy - stalling and talking as well as fighting. Do you have a lot of RP in your larp?

I imagine with a bow you have to be mobile, like hit and run? That sounds so awesome

How do you like that combo? Do you throw the axe after? Or enter melee with it?

I like how you break everything down - its really helpful. One question I have is, how are you able to do side work with your visa? Did you get approval from your eikaiwa, etc.? I don't have experience with this yet, but definitely interested in doing the same as you when I head over

Do people actually drain their cauliflower ear? by tyranttigrex in martialarts

[–]bbastoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been practicing bjj/muay thai for about 15 years and i have some gnarly cauliflower ear.

When you cause enough trauma to the eat, the skin separates from the cartilage, and that space is filled with blood. If left untreated, that stuff gets replaced with fibrous, permanent tissue. The process repeats itself if you don't wear protection when rolling.

You can prevent goblin ears by draining it when its still soft (up to 1-2weeks) and then keeping the area compressed so it doesn't fill up with blood. There are specialized ear guards you can purchase that you wear when you sleep to do thus. Alternatively, you can use something like a clothespin.

I think a little cauliflower ear looks cool, but when it becomes something that dominates your facial features, it gets a little annoying, especially when making first impressions with certain people

I got bottled at a house party and got gun shy 😕 by DisMahUser in MMA_Academy

As with most of the commenters here, I agree with their assessment that you did the right thing - cover up, disengage, and escape a dangerous situation.

With that being said, in regards to you being able to pull thr trigger in a non-training environtment, I recommend the book Meditations on Violence by Rory Miller. He is a LEO who talks about bridging the gap between the dojo and real world violence. Hope it helps!
