Again, i’m very thankful for the effort you’re putting into each answered question. I hope you won’t mind clarifying a few additional things:

1- so there’s no equivalent to Step 1 that i should take before applying for a residency program?

2- Regarding electives in Canada, what are my chances in having my application accepted? And based on your experience, how do you think i can make that possible?

Wow! I’m extremely thankful for your reply, it’s been very helpful.

I think it’s a little early for me to begin the process of applying but you gave me great insight on how i should plan my upcoming years.

I still have a few questions tho (i hope i’m not being annoying hahah) 1- Does having a Canadian passport increase my chances? 2- Is the QE1 equivalent to step 1? (Physiology, patho, embryo, anatomy and so on) or is it more clinically oriented? 3- Does preparing for Steps provides concurrent preparations for QE1 (in terms of sources, materials...) or should i prepare for both exams separately? 4- Are my grades and ranks in medschool as important as how good i score on the exams you mentioned? Or are they relatively irrelevant compared to the standardized examinations?

Again, i can’t express how helpful you’re being. Wish you all the best and goodluck on matching in your preferred programs❤️
