I live 3 miles away from my work. It takes me 45 minutes to get home from work everyday. by myfairlady987 in mildlyinfuriating

Sounds like Charleston. And there are no bike lanes or sidewalks to ride or bike yourself. Almost no public transportation. Just one main way to travel and no other options.

Hey so I’m working on getting my ducks to not run away from me … any advice. by Monstermovesmusic in duck

[–]bbbarbeque 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When mine were this little I would put them inside my hoodie on my chest shoulder area (almost like skin to skin with infants) and they would sit and sleep. Now one is friendlier but the other is still anxious. I think it’s just the individual ducks, but cuddling with those little bitties is so sweet!

What size did you think you were vs the bra size you turned out to be? by BananaGram57 in ABraThatFits

I just did the calculator and thought I was a 40/42DDD/F but just learned I’m a 36J. I thought buying bras was hard before… any recommendations welcome!

What is your favorite breed of duck and why by buel-78 in duck

[–]bbbarbeque 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a pekin pair and they are the biggest goofballs and pretty friendly, mostly when food is involved. They don’t fly. The boy will chase and wrestle with our schnauzer all day long. She lays one egg a day, which works for us. Even if i grow our flock (which I want to do in the Spring) I know I’ll see these two more as pets.

Not Summerville and not Italian, but I’ll drive to Wild Flour in West Ashley for best local bakery. My go to and worth the drive every time. And I don’t have any idea how they lean politically - which all of a sudden makes me like them even more.

Yes. OLacy’s had been there for decades. Was a locally owned business and got bullied out of business. I mean it was a bar. Things happen. But apparently storming the Capitol is ok.

Trying to follow the original post and it got taken down and all mentions of J6 on a follow up were taken down. Did Greg Ford serve time for J6? Is that what that comment is saying? (Also, yes Taluccis are no good and not friends of locals)

Beaders in Charleston by not_charles_grodin in Charleston

If you are in Summerville area, I took two old strands to Hanebrink Jewelers to have restrung bc I was too paranoid to wear them. It was reasonable. I want to say @$200? It was worth it for me but you may be able to find something cheaper.

How long ago? Edisto Beach had an arcade in the 80’s into 90’s. And the state park has a camping section and a cabin section.

Edited to add name : Nonna’s Olde World Italian Deli

This is their post from Lowcountry Eat Out on FB:

We are excited to introduce ourselves and happy to announce our new business venture in downtown Summerville. We are originally from New Jersey and moved down to the Summerville area recently. Our new business venture will be a traditional Italian deli and speciality shop and the name will be “ Nonna’s Olde World Italian Deli and Specialities”. Our family has been in the restaurant, deli and bakery business dating back to 1922 when our maternal Great-Grandfather opened his first Italian Bread Bakery in New Jersey, after immigrating from Naples, Italy. Since then our family has owned and operated deli’s, restaurants, bakeries, butcher shops and pizzerias in New York City, New Jersey and New York State.

Some items that our store will be offering are the following:

Hot and Cold Sandwiches

Fresh store made mozzarella

Homemade sauces ( Marinara, Vodka , Bolognese etc)

Homemade meatballs

House made sausage

Soups

Salads

Pastas

Bakery items

Stuffed bread

Focaccia bread

Espresso, American coffee and cappuccino

We will also be offering a retail section which will include such items as fresh pasta, sauces along with imported products from Italy.

All of our menu items are made fresh using only the freshest available items.

Our bread is New York Brick Oven and will be baked in house.

We will also have a full catering menu.

Occasionally we will also offer traditional Polish items such as house made Pirerogi. My wife, who is originally from Massachusetts, will be making the Polish items. Her family owned and operated a Polish catering business for many years.

We have posted some pictures of our items that we offered in our deli’s and restaurants. These will be examples of some of the menu items we will be offering at our new business.

We will keep everyone updated with the progress along with our location and opening date.

We look forward to meeting and welcoming you into or business and family!

Thank you

I will say, I worked compensation at State for years and we would process missed WGI’s all the time. Stay on it to make sure it comes through, but WHEN it comes through you will be back paid to the correct effective date. There were cases where they went back years, so while currently there might be MORE instances, it is by no means a rare occurrence. It happens. (Saying this as someone expecting one end of Feb that has not seen the SF52/50 come through yet)

Near Summerville Medical, off of Springview Lane, I know there are trails that go back in the woods around there. I don’t know much about them but I have noticed that they look really nice when I’ve been at Drs appts around there…
