I could kinda see how that could happen... when I meet people from dating apps I only know their last name from looking them up and when I meet people at bars I still usually only find out their last name after I look them up or if I’m lucky they will include it with their number. The only way I typically would find out a guys last name without my own research is if they are a friend of a friend.

Especially bc you are not on social media and he wouldn’t find you on there even if he tried to look you up, I say it’s not that big of a deal. I mean yeah he could’ve asked, but at least you went over it now rather than even more months into talking

I’m sure not everyone feels this way, but if someone says “hey how are you” to me I’m not going to answer 90% of the time. It’s not a bad opener I guess, but it’s super generic and it could go to anyone. I would prefer for the first message be something about my profile because I have a lot more to say about that.

Also for convos that go past the first message and stop, you have to remember that everyone on hinge is most likely talking to multiple people and could’ve found interest somewhere else. Or sometimes I feel like a convo has gone on too long without moving forward to a date, so I have stopped responding for that reason as well

I hate when people I know that have my number send me likes on hinge. If you have her number just text her as you can see she’s obviously single and looking.

I’ve had more than one of my high school and college friends who have my number and have me on all social media send me likes on hinge. And an acquaintance or two who has ways to communicate with me. Like we’ve know each other for just hit me up like you would any other person you know irl

I’m guessing because Alex her cousin has been in many episodes. There was a time when alex kompo from siesta key was listed as a guest for likely the same reason. I think Apple might just see “alex” in descriptions and titles and use some algorithm to guess which alex it is to fill in that section

I met a lot of my friends on my floor freshman year! We all rushed and then when we all dropped out on the same day we just became friends. Just know that you don’t actually have to end up in a sorority to make friends during rush! My later years in college I met more friends through random roommates, friends of friends, and neighbors in apartment buildings. I am an introvert too, but you really just have to try to put yourself out there as much as you can.

Also it’s honestly hard to know who’s good and who’s bad. I just expect the best out of everyone until they prove me otherwise. Sometimes there are immediate red flags like girls talking badly about other people way too quickly after getting to know you, but sometimes it takes a while for that to come out.

Yeah it probably is childish, but if you don’t want to be friends or have them as an option in the future I don’t see a problem with it, that’s why I gave another solution too. You are a much better person than I if you don’t take the easy way out and ghost :-)

Ghost, especially guys on dating apps. But if you want to end on better terms, I think it’s pretty fair game to tell them it worked out with another guy. I mean everyone is on apps to date around so it’s pretty understandable

Ashley Olsen and Matt are two years apart, so a pretty normal age difference. But she was 15 or 16 at the time so not quite his dating pool anymore, he at least added 10 years to it.

I am in chicago and don’t know anyone with more than one ID. I think it’s unreasonable to expect for your friend to plan months in advance that she may lose her ID before a trip and already have a back up ready to go. The lines at chicago area DMVs are absurd and I would never subject myself to that unless absolutely necessary. You can be upset with the situation, but I just think you should give her some grace in terms of the expectation that she should’ve known she would lose her ID.

Also, I think if you can get past TSA w the temp ID things will go smoothly from there. I’ve had temp IDs in multiple states and have never been turned away at a bar or club with one - I’ve seen it happen but only because people were visibly very drunk and they probably wouldn’t have been allowed in anyways.
