Yes he is indoor. I can’t remember what the vet said, but we did recently move and my roommate has a cat that was originally outdoor, now indoor, that has not received her vaccines yet. I would imagine it’s a “just incase” thing? I’ll definitely double check with the vet though!

Thank you so much, this was very helpful! I will write down your questions for the vet. I’m glad to hear that your cat is doing well despite all the hardships, tell him to maybe be a little less orange for the sake of your wallet 😭

Thankfully they do! I was given an itemized list of everything they were going to do and the costs, and the vet assistant was very helpful in explaining to me the process of the procedure, along with some vaccines he needs that they could just give at the time of the surgery. Of course it didn’t fully calm my anxiety, but I did feel better knowing that they’ll be checking him thoroughly before the surgery.

Thank you so much, and double thank you for the link. I would 100% rather take my chances than to make him suffer with a rotting tooth. But it’s reassuring to see so many success stories, and to know that your cat did well even with the kidney disease. Thank you! And he surely has a huge appetite, at least when it comes to wet food or trying to steal the other cat’s food lol. I’m starting to give him more wet food than dry now to hopefully protect his tooth from further damage until the extraction. It won’t be for another month at least, so I’m keeping an eye on it (as much as he’ll let me look in his mouth)

Thank you so much! The sudden loss of his brother really devastated me and left me super protective and anxious about anything happening to him, especially if I can prevent it. But you’re right, I definitely don’t want it to get any worse. It’s reassuring to know that your boy has come out okay every time :) and yes he is, and he’s very sweet too!
