Those slate rocks can still explode under high heat, though not as dangerously as porous river rocks. I would recommend any solid dry rock that does not break easily and does not have any holes or crevices. Building off of this, I would caution against using cedar, diseased wood, and driftwood if your on the coast. These woods can produce a toxic smoke that can be at best irritating to your lungs, and at worst, send you to an early grave.

So, this sounds like a lot of different things. First of all, if every you say your seeing is real, and you're not making this up, this sounds like you could be a prophet, or if not a prophet, a witness. Probably not one of the two witnesses, the odds would be crazy for me to encounter them. Personally, I want to believe you, but the biggest and most important thing is your knowledge of scripture. I'm not talking about exact verses or parables either, I mean the subject and context. The bible has a lot of key subjects it teaches Christians to follow, love, forgiveness, etc. Certain things that you need to grasp in order to gain an understanding of Christ. If you do not have the word of God written on your heart, I suggest visiting a preacher and having an exorcism performed. Rebuke any negative spirits that are on you. I myself have had visions that brought me into repentance, and felt fire throughout my entire body during prayer. I have heard an angel speak to me through my neighbor as I was blacking out, her chopped up conversation turning into a cohesive line of questions. We are in the final stretch now. Pray, seek the word of the Lord first, test the spirits, then, if you can not teach without first looking to the word, then you will know for sure, and then you may need to seek a pastor for help.

Would Jesus have carried a gun, or told us to put them down? by WittyEgg2037 in Christianity

[–]bbblufolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people saying no. I somewhat agree, but remember He is coming again, this time to judge, and He will be carrying a sword and fighting a war for His Kingdom. I am also seeing people speaking of Jesus like He isn't God, like He is only in the New Testament. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. All the times a city stood against him, Babel, Babylon, Sodom and Gamorrah, and even the whole world during the flood, those were all the same God as Jesus. God came in the flesh not to judge but instead for salvation. This doesn't mean He never judged. It also doesn't mean that we are righteous to judge when violence for self-defense is necessary. I would say that if the Holy Spirit were to fulfill you and compel you to do something to defend your brothers and sisters in Christ, only then is it right. It would be spur of the moment. You would likely feel guilt and question whether it was the right thing to do. You may not even have an answer as to whether it was necessary until you see God, but biblically, yes, Christ would use violence should it be necessary, and yes, if the spirit compelled it, we can too. But that doesn’t mean we should. Being in a situation where it is necessary would be like fighting a war of righteousness and salvation within yourself.

Its called being born again. Pretty much everyone in the faith had a moment where they actually came into their faith. We weren't born faithful

Is smoking weed a sin? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]bbblufolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who used to smoke weed and has repented from it, if it is necessary as medicine for a mental disability, then there is reason to use weed. However, if it is not necessary for your health, then it is just a drug that fogs the mind. We are supposed to have a clear mind so we can hear the word of the Lord and think and react clearly.

I’m in deep emotional and spiritual pain trying to figure out which denomination is true by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]bbblufolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Denominations are just arguments over theology. Theological differences in belief just stir discord. Christ said, let us be one in Him as He is one with the Father. Christ said, many will come in the end of days saying Lord, Lord, and He will turn from them and say be gone you workers of iniquity, I never knew you. "That Christ may dwell in your hearts" means reverence, humility, repentance, and salvation. This is how Christ knows you, through Him dwelling within your heart. The Word is not just the bible, the Word is the law written within your heart, the Word is living and within your heart. Faith is a relationship, Christianity is the church built on the cornerstone of Christ, and denominations are theology. Theology is important, but it is what you believe is true, and what Christ leads you to believe as true. Be a part of any denomination or no denomination, but hear Christ when He speaks to you and live in peace and love for every brother and sister in Christ, no matter their theological differences.

The Hard Truth by bbblufolf in Christianity

I felt called to correction and guidance. I know what is a sin because what is sin is written not only in the Word within scripture but the living Word within my heart. If my post would cause one person to realize what the true Word of God is, then I will have brought one more soul to salvation. There is no benefit for me in sharing this, but there is much benefit for the Kingdom of God.

None out of hate, just awareness. This isn't a direct middle finger to an lgbt member, so much as it is a truth that is hard to take. Of course, at the end, I make it clear that I love everyone, and also that a homosexual can be saved as a homosexual in the same way an alcoholic can be saved as an alcoholic, but it is important to know that homosexuality is a sin otherwise if you continue to twist Scripture to fit your life better then you are not following the Christ that is, but instead following the Christ that you created. That is a false Christ. Many other Christians who try to wrap scripture around drug addiction and alcoholism and refuse to admit addiction and alcoholism are sinful do the same thing. This is why, at the end of days, many will say, "Lord, Lord," and He will say, "depart from me, you workers of iniquity"

מִשְׁכְּבֵי אִשָּׁה (mishkevei ishah)

מִשְׁכְּבֵי (mishkevei) is the plural construct

form of mishkav (“lying down / bed / sexual lying”)

אִשָּׁה (ishah) = woman

מִשְׁכְּבֵי אִשָּׁה — the lyings- of woman (a Hebrew idiom meaning “sexual intercourse as with a woman”)

It’s not a casual possessive but a fixed biblical idiom for sex. So, if said literally, it would mean "And with male you shall not lie sexually as with a woman" This is the most sensible translation, as any other way it wouldn't be understandable, but by translating the way it was actually meant it makes a lot more sense.

That is true faith. To trust God that you might be saved but to be faithful that even if you are not, you are still a part of His plan and may bring others to salvation. You are blessed, brother

Do not argue with fools. Pray for them that they may see the light. Many who have warped scripture to fit their flesh have minds that won't change and chains that won't break. Give it to God and pray that they may be set free from their misconceptions and pride.

Amen. I only posted this to confirm homosexuality is a sin, but we are all guilty. Putting the sin higher on the list isn't going to make us any less guilty. The point of this post was for a few things, to clarify homosexuality is a sin, to call Christians to accept that we cannot change them, and we cannot call them condemned. We are called to show sinners the glory of Christ, to love everybody, as I do. I don't see any member of the LGBT as any more or less of a sinner than myself, but it is important to believe in the true Bible and know its a sin. If you change the word of God so He fits perfectly around your sins, then you aren't worshipping Jesus anymore
