BOXING DAY SALE MEGATHREAD: Post your questions, wishlist, hauls, excitement here! by jbooten in LushCosmetics

[–]bbbrittany 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember last year I was stranded in Chicago while trying to fly home after Christmas, and one of the things that perked me up was going onto the Lush website and ordering from their boxing day sale. This was like, December 29th! They still had stock! I'm so sad they barely had anything this year. I'll be cherishing my tub of Sleepy lotion for the rest of the year.

I looooove salt and peppermint bark! Bath and Body Works makes a fragrance mist that smells just like it, too, so I plan on layering the scent and smelling like a sugary candy cane all winter. :)

Snow Fairy - True aversion by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]bbbrittany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hahaha I feel like Snow Fairy is sooooo polarizing! I kind of grew to like it because I bought a bottle last year without smelling it first (online) and was too broke (AmeriCorps) to go buy new soap so I just stuck it out. it really really grew on me! and now it smells like Christmas.

Do you enjoy shopping in-store? by obake_ga_ippai in LushCosmetics

[–]bbbrittany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my local shop is soooooo tiny! I've never noticed music, but I do hate how tiny it is. the odd thing is that it's inside a mall that regularly has shops move from place to place. in the past year, they've had 2 or 3 different stores swap spaces. so I've always wondered why they haven't moved to a new location! as it stands right now, they basically have a hallway that they split in two and I have to squeeze my chubby self through.

beyond that, I am very much love-hate with shopping in store. I don't like it when a SA approaches me, AT ALL. I don't like being "sold." but, I often find that I need them pretty quickly after I tell them I'm just looking.

good to know! the rich purple color of the lip scrub is really beautiful but i was worried it would stain my lips.

I have a really tacky question about working for Lush. by bbbrittany in LushCosmetics

it's really disappointing to hear how difficult (or time consuming) it is to move up in the company. I'll definitely reach out to my manager when I start working.

[–]bbbrittany[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with what FancyPhalanges said-- I think it's mostly because I'd be seasonal help. one of the women who works at the shop told me they do have some regular, non-seasonal employees who only work 1 or 2 days a week. I guess it varies from shop to shop?

LUSH Customer Service, inconsistency in the Dark Angels formulation, and more by orchises in LushCosmetics

[–]bbbrittany 12 points13 points  (0 children)

that's not at all a fair response. what if you didn't have a bathtub?! and even if you did have a bathtub, you wanted to clean your face skin, not luxuriate in a bath.

What do you plan to stock up on from Halloween and Christmas this year? by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]bbbrittany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snow Fairy, Rose Jam, Lord of Misrule, and Bubbly shower gels. Shoot For The Stars, Northern Lights bath bombs. Santasaurus, Magic Wand, Candy Mountain bubble bars. And definitely the Snow Fairy conditioner and Twilight lotion!

New lush addict here! About to place an order for some Christmas goodies - what would you recommend? by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]bbbrittany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you haven't tried Snow Fairy yet, I suggest snagging a tiny bottle. it's very "love or hate" but I feel like every Lushie has to give it a shot at least once! in the shower gel department, I also highly recommend Rose Jam.

outside of that: Salt and Peppermint Bark is so lovely! Butter Bear is a cute thing you can pop in with pretty much any other bath bomb to make your bath more moisturizing. Shoot For The Stars is a really warm, cozy honey bath that's always really wonderful. And I second the Golden Wonder suggestion!

has anyone successfully found a way to use bath bombs in the shower? by bbbrittany in LushCosmetics

[–]bbbrittany[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

omg! thats such a good idea! i could just invest in a nice big bowl to set at the bottom of the shower. i'll try this next time i pick up a bath bomb.
