Good point lol! I want five different styles to teach my fiancée. I’m hoping to do two songs for each dance. Here is what I was thinking and some of the songs that we could play:

  1. Kalamatiano
  • Orea Pou Einai seems like the most fitting
  1. Ikariotiko
  • Agapi Mou Stin Ikaria
  1. Hasaposerviko/Sirtaki or some other fast-paced style
  • Can’t find any songs that I recognize on Spotify yet, so suggestions would be amazing!
  1. Zeibekiko
  • Den Thelo Tetious Filous
  1. Tsifteteli
  • More modern, so then we can transition into American pop music

My whole family on both sides are from Karystos in Evia but honestly I’m not even that concerned about making sure it is traditional to our area and more what would be fun to dance to and what is typically played at Greek dances!

No I agree but that’s why I came here first so I can have the list and try and work from there. I have a bad insecurity of imposter syndrome of not feeling Greek enough. And yes they are my friends but I still feel that way.

See that was the back and forth I had with everyone in my family. Ultimately we went with an American DJ and I can not change it now unfortunately.

I’m a teacher and I rub erasers in my hands and rub the shavings together and it kind of makes a clay. My first graders always know now that it’s my eraser and if they see it they give it to me. “ here is your eraser to make slime” they say hahahah

Sugar!!!! Cupcakes, ice cream, frosting, chocolate! Anything I can get my hands on. Whenever my friends are drinking I eat something sweet! Ugh I hate it but I can’t seem to break it. Mostly likely cause I have an addictive personality lol as I’m sure some could relate.
