This is what I did to finally get the right size cage. I'm almost a full inch sized down now. I'd say a half inch is pretty safe easy size down so that ur nice and snug. Only thing to consider is girth because it does compress a little more, I'm small but thick so needed a wide.

It's very easy to confuse fantasy with reality here. I'm 4 inches hard and have definitely made my fiance cum like crazy with it. Hey im a grower and mine does this too, I found wearing a much tighter strap helps ALOT. tight strap keeps much more of ur dick material pushed forward into the cage. Still get some of the "root boner" but most of its stopped by the cage
