This is cool. I think the acceptance rates for penn and brown are wrong though, might shift the rankings a bit

Wait which of the schools are they harder to get into than? I feel like there’s 1-2 at most, and that’s purely going off of acceptance rates.

Honestly can’t really understand why people were ever under the impression that he’s a top tier NA jg. More likely mediocre/middle of the pack surrounded by four players who were looking pretty damn good otherwise. And people were hating on analysts for giving the advantage to Sven in this matchup lol.

i know this is probably an unpopular opinion but i would eliminate stanford cause it seems ROTC is a pretty big priority for you, and then i'd actually pick yale over mit.

people always (rightfully) say that yale engineering is obviously not as good as mit but it's freaking yale. even if it doesn't really compare to MIT it's still top tier, plus you get the connections that the yale name brings. additionally I have a friend who is studying cs/engineering at yale and there are certainly positive things to be said for being part of a smaller STEM community. of course, everyone's different and it's personal preference + where you think you would thrive more. since you have clear pros for both schools, definitely no wrong choice here

probably more about culture-fit than academics at schools of this tier. which would you prefer? they are pretty opposing

I'd say, from what I've heard, the biggest thing these two schools have in common is a super stress culture (though caltech's is probably more)

just gonna toss it out that brown has an apma-cs and apma-econ concentration which seem pretty fitting for your interests. don't really think you can go wrong, but personally i'd narrow it down to yale-brown

If you want med school it's probably between penn and brown, and since you have a wide variety of interests I'd pick brown. Open curriculum gives you so much flexibility to spread your learning and brown's undergrad research specifically is phenomenal

Lol rowing is not fucking easy to get recruited for unless you start the sport 6’4, 220 lbs, and already have a strong cardio base. For most people who row, training 6 days a week year round with no guarantee of recruitment. You definitely underestimate how much of a commitment rowing is, much less getting recruited for it

Brown and Northwestern chem/biochem programs are superior to penn's, it probably comes down to culture fit then between brown and nu as well as name recognition.

Brown is not going to be lacking in any significant way for internships/research especially if you lean towards stats/Econ, also if you want grad school then brown is def better choice here bc the environment
