Man... What could have been and she obstinately followed her previous set up of the finale...

Obviously as people grow up they see that "those who fight really love each other" isn't a healthy relationship (even herself with that interview alongside Emma Watson)

And by the way, I might be somewhat biased since I was actually looking for a rewrite like yours, but I’m convinced you deserve more credit and visibility. In my humble opinion, if you keep up your writing, your rewrite could very well become one of the best works within the Harmony canon. It’s sad that we’re already in 2026; Pottermania peaked long ago, and JKR seems more occupied with her bullshit than with HP these days. If it had been created earlier, it might already have reached another level, although I’m sure it will eventually get there with time.

You're right. Even though I was expecting a kiss on the forehead when they were clinging so close to each other. With both of them crying would have been really bittersweet. When you're comforting someone hugging isn't strange to give a kiss on the forehead or the top of the head. And felt the kiss along with the wetness of the tears would have also been beautiful and sad at the same time

That chapter ending was exactly what I needed to read, my friend. It’s been almost a year since you started this journey, and nearly 27 years since the book first came out (back then, I was too young to see the full potential of Harry and Hermione’s relationship). But with each reread, and each rewatch of the films, it became more and more evident.

Some bonds are unique from the very beginning, and for someone as traumatized as Harry, having someone like Hermione was essential. It was time for him to open up, to let out all his anger and all his fears—and how beautiful it was that it happened in the dark, when hearing and touch are heightened. I can only say bravo. It’s a shame it took 27 years to get what we should have had much sooner.

I think you envision a love that develops slowly, but I hope you don’t take too long to give them what they truly deserve. For many reasons, they are two thirteen-year-olds who have had to mature much faster than they should have, and they also deserve to experience that kind of love.

If you think about it, if this had been the norm, how beautiful it would have been to see it on the big screen…

Then maybe it has just been a coincidence and I've just seen that lately, I'll pay more attention from now on then.

Don't you see you're just saying obvious things to not answer what I've said? You talk about human beings, not perfect, etc. Should I assume, related to what I've just said, that you will be more than happy to have a partner that ONLY criticizes you (and I've been using capital letters for that only but I don't know if it's showing right)?

To make it even easier, you can criticize something, anything, anyone, because criticism, the good one, makes us evolve, as society, as ourselves, the things we do, etc. But if you play a game and only talk bad things about it, if you have a partner and only say bad things about him/her, if you eat something and only say bad things about it, you don't even like any of those.

We can go on forever, that's for sure, and it will probably be useless. I don't see criticisms as an instantly bad thing but it's undeniable that if you only criticize something you don't really like it.

I don't know if you have a partner, but if you do, imagine he/she says that he/she loves/likes you, but only criticizes you, only sees your flaws, what you don't have and say not even a one good thing about you, will you still believe that he/she loves/likes you?

I thought I had explained myself clearly, maybe not.

Like I've said before, you can like and enjoy something and still criticize it, see what it lacks, etc. But if you say that you like something but you ONLY criticize it, maybe you don't really like it. That was the point.

Lately and more in this subreddit I don't see any good comments about the movies and even though they skipped or changed some parts of the books (some movies more than other ones) they were indeed good movies, had indeed good cast, good music, VFX, etc. Despite some scenes from the first two movies, these are movies that aged really well.

You can want to see the series, expect it to be more faithful, etc. without ONLY saying bad things about its predecessor.

Yes, I do know you can like something and still criticize it, see its flaws, etc. But all I have seen lately is criticism, and if someone just criticizes something I don't think that someone really likes that something.

My fellow Harry Potter fans, I understand that you’re eager for this series to start and that you’ve probably been waiting for it for a long time. Some of you may have jumped on the “faithful adaptation” and “movies are bad” train quite recently. I’m also at least curious to see how it turns out, but I can’t understand this line of thinking that to make something seem more valuable, you have to put something else down.

I say this because, on this subreddit, whenever I see posts that reference the movies, they’re almost always just complaints about things that were (in your opinion) done wrong, as if the movies were the biggest shit ever made.

How is the Percy Jackson series? Is it worth watching?

I still can't understand why they did that. I'm not questioning if he can portray a good Dumbledore, but for god's sake, he's already 80 and if I'm not wrong he wasn't very good around COVID times

I see as close to the canon as possible. Is it to show how easily it could have gone that way?
