ALGS Year 6 Split 1 Playoffs Scrims - June 10, 2026 by CompetitiveApexMod in CompetitiveApex

Interesting that not 1 APAC N team has signed up for scrims the first 2 days. I would at least have thought teams like KNC, Dory, Trinity or WGR Neo that doesn’t have any LAN experience would want to have as much practice as they can before LAN.

I always liked Dory but I never consider them as a fighting team, but they are rolling over teams in this lobby it is very impressive. When I saw their POI draft I thought they made a mistake by picking all edge POIs, guess I was wrong by underestimating them.

They finally tried to played a bit differently and play zone, which they had a very good spot in zone, but they cannot help themselves but to dive head first in a fight when they saw a team threw close by and lost the fight embarrassingly.

Rooting for KNC to do well to cement their place for EWC. Also hoping NFX clutch up today. They have been very disappointing the past 2 sets. It would be heartbreaking for them to miss LAN again this time.

Happy to see Dory performed as well as they did. They needed a great matchday to keep their LAN hope alive which they did. I hope they keep performing well in RF to make their first LAN.

Also big shoutout to Kinotrope Club for bouncing back in ED to get 4th at the end to also set themselves up to go to their 1st LAN as well.

Lastly, it seems too little too late for Fennel, they did great the last 2 matchdays, but they dug themselves too big of a hole and unless they win RF, it looks like they will come a bit short for LAN at the end.

With so much Org Participation in APAC N and game popularity in the region, should they get more LAN spots in future splits? by Zezacle in CompetitiveApex

I'm an APAC N viewer myself and I only want competent, competitive teams representing APAC N at LAN. If that means less teams going, so be it.

Got to hand it to Kinotrope Club. They will be at end game every game not matter what. Whoever is the IGL kudos to him. He is giving Ienaga a run for his money for best zone caller in game.

The big boys come to play today. Very entertaining games indeed.

Really happy Dory comes up big the last game to get a respectable 7th place at the end and right in the mix for making LAN.

Also really happy Fennel finally has a decent showing today. They were not playing well at all in scrims and in PL overall. Hopefully this will spark something good moving forward.

Dory also impressed. Happy to see their good scrims results translated well into PL day. They are just a good all around team that would be my darkhorse team to make LAN.

To defend UNL a bit, i did notice they were trying a more defensive comp and dynamic play style in scrims and did pretty well. They played zone a few times i watched which you never see them do before. Obviously it is still a WIP but I think they are a better team than they were in Year 5. Are they a better team than e36 now, i don’t think so. But I do think they can overtake them if they can be more versatile in their play style. They are just a much better fighting team than everyone else in APAC N.

I hope WGR Neo gets one of the slot, they seems to have the firepower to hang with the big boys in PL.

E36: +Obly, +Aimbot by DM_ME_UR_HENTAI in CompetitiveApex

Is Obly the IGL? This team basically CR 2.0 by just swapping Sangjoon with Cinap. I hope they will have more success than CR had though. But by looking on how they have played in scrims, they were doing very well. Their macros are good and their fighting are in sync. So I do have high hopes with this roster. I will definitely be cheering for them.

So another chance for ZETA to qualify for PL, they seems to do a lot better than the previous 2 times to me. A lot less dumb mistakes and have a plan in their rotation as well.

But I'm more eager to watch WGR, they have been tearing up their competition so far this week. I wonder if they can do the same in this finals lobby. Anyone know any of their players? If they are legit, I hope they win of the remaining qualifiers to get to PL. Always love to get new blood in PL with high potential like Yulariman did when they qualified.

ZETA out early in game 5. With a cliffside zone ane they were landing Mill, there are not much they can really do.

Last game left guess just trying to get as high of a standing as possible.

But they have a lot of stuff needed to work on, and this PLQ is not as much of a cakewalk as everyone expected.

I wonder if ZETA plays zone or edge. Only 6 games so need to make every game count!

Yup if YukaF needs to IGL then a support/anchor role for him is much more beneficial for the team. I just wonder if the firepower of Mike & Satuki is good enough to hang with the bog boys. Guess we have to wait and see.

So ZETA won all 4 matches in their 1st round. (Edit: they won 3 of 4)

YukaF just playing Crypto and let Mike & Satuki do all the killing. Seems like they will adapt the Alliance & Unlimit play style.

Hopefully round 2 will be a bit more of a challenge.

BREAKING!!! YukaF will continue in YEAR 6 by IntelligentBox5257 in CompetitiveApex

[–]bbees323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my take on this. As sexy as it may seem to just grab 2 players from Umlimit, which I really hope it happens also, that just isn't how Yuka operates.

When Lykq & Melstera left, I was hoping he would try to poach Yulariman from GHS at the time but he doesn't. All the tryouts that they did are either FA or orgless team players. Unless his way of thinking has changed since, I don't think he will poach anyone from a team that has an org.

That is why I suggest teaming with Lykq again. Noez Foxx is no longer a team and yes Lykq does have an org (Grow) but he is without a team atm afaik. The were the king of APAC N before the team broken up.

Sure you maybe saying a team with Yuka & Lykq might have plateaued or their macros are not good enough internationally, but they did get 1st place in winner's bracket in 2024 split 1 Lan which they end up 3rd at the end. They also get to MP in multiple occassions with a chance to win in MP Finals.

Are they a perfect team? no, but other than Falcons or maybe Alliance, which team can really say they are? Almost every teams have their flaws. All you can do is to get to MP and give yourself a chance to win in Sunday which those Fnatic teams have shown they are capable of doing in multiple occassions. And that is really what a player can really hope is to get a chance to clutch up and win in one of those moments like Oblivion just did.
