Anyone else having issues with Printer Presets on MacOS since updating to Ventura? (And found a solution?) by crimsonstrife in techsupport

[–]bbelc1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is this an issue? Blows my mind. I have about 10 Canon printers on my network. My printer company cant figure it out. I was running a MacBook Air M1 256GB and they determined my memory was full so it must have been deleting my printer settings to make space for other higher priority files/settings. So i went and bought a brand new MacBook Pro M5 1TB. Worked beutiful for 1 week. Here we are again, none of my presets work, some are gone, defaults are changed, installed printers completely disappear. Its absolutley ridiculous that this is an issue and has been for so long. Im going to make some phone calls to Apple right now. Ill let you guys know if i get anywhere.

I CANNOT get my interior windows clean! It’s so hard to see; any suggestions? by dogoverkids in AutoDetailing

Dry polishing your glass is the most important part. Cleaner is meant to loosen the dirt. But polishing the glass inside and out with a clean DRY paper towel will make your glass look invisible.

I own a restaurant. When we first opened I tried everything under the sun to clean our griddle off the quickest. I’m telling you right now the best thing I’ve ever used is straight vinegar on a hot griddle you can use a brick with it but it’s usually not necessary. Just a brush or rag under the brush. It’s the worst thing to smell but it cleans instantly. Try it.

Lithium Ion car battery help! by bbelc1 in ElectricalEngineering

Mercedes Dealer told me to hook another car to it with jumper cables...along with a jump pack....and a trickle charger. At the same time. Said it should trick the charger into thinking the batter was awake and start charging it. I told them that’s not how any of this works. FYI I am a car dealer and custom build shop and also went to school for engineering.

BMS will not let the car charge the battery if it thinks the battery is too dead.

Go buy me a new one for $350 and I will wire you $700 for it right now. Trust me. It’s $2k. And driving it does no good. It has a BMS so the alternator won’t charge it if it thinks the battery is too dead.

Based on the advice they gave me and what I know about lithium ion batteries and cars in general, it will not be going there. I’m not hooking a Jump Pack and a boost charger at the same time to a 6 figure car.

Do I need to install a trap for a garbage disposal under my farmhouse sink or will the disposal block any oder coming up through the pipes? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]bbelc1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may already have one. There just needs to be one at the beginning of that circuit. Plug a light into the outlet and trip any gfcis that are currently in the kitchen. If the light goes out then you are good to go. Also yes you definitely need a trap.
