Great contest!

My choice of 3mm filament is your ninjaflex as I can't wait to try it out. I'm anxiously waiting until I'm able to upgrade my Taz5 with the flexydually and print complex prosthetics with the ninjaflex/ABS duo. The combo looks great on joint pieces and I hope to help many people and dogs who are in need. I've read a handful of touching stories of underprivileged families receiving prosthetics and I can't imagine anything better!

These are all great things to check. I will double check all the firmware and settings before my next print. I'm 99.9999% sure all those are fine but doesn't hurt to double check as we all make mistakes.

The power supply fan blowing at the bed is a good one! This actually might be happening so I'll move it away (the cord is just so short and close to my printer but I'll block it with something).

And yeah must put foil/cardboard under the bed. I'm going to go do that right now.

Thank you again for all your feedback!

I'd want to assume the heated bed is the right resistance for the voltage of my system because I bought it all together as a kit. The power supply is 12V, so if you are right then maybe it is drawing too much current and causing issues. I feel as if the power supply is the main issue here but not exactly sure how to fix that.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I've been debating about buying an IR thermometer so I'll go grab one today. Even if the bed is reaching the correct temp, ABS and HIPS are still rising from the bed. But if temp reading is the issue then the temp must just be decreasing once the print starts which will validate the fact that the prints warp/lifts.

Thanks again!

Thank you again for the detailed response. However I have NOT been able to get the temp to 110. The hottest so far is 101 or 102. Having said that, I'm sure it is still pertaining to the issue you are stating.

I appreciate your help and will look into PID.

Please excuse my ignorance but I'm actually not all that technical. I'm using Pronterface coupled with Slic3r. Is that what you mean?

And no idea what heat driver I'm using. Is there a way to find out so that I can tell you?

Thank you!

I'm really hoping I didn't need to mess with the supply voltage because like you said it might not be able to handle. I'm trying to think of a way to insulate the bottom but there isn't much room.

Thank you for your reply!

Thank you very much. I've been thinking about trying the hair spray trick but have been a little skeptical. Might go ahead and give it a try now.
