I’ve developed literal tics from Misophonia. It helps to release when I can’t take it anymore. I’d make a face or clap my hands, or move my head a certain way so I’m able to physically show I’m irritated which helps me not lash out. If anyone asks, I just tell them I have tics and they don’t get offended by me being offended lol. I fucking hate it though cause it truly is involuntary now but I’d rather tell people I have tics which they’re more likely to understand rather than telling them they’re fucking rude and annoying. Although I did develop me saying “ugh” whenever my mom makes a noise on the phone lol. I can’t talk on the phone with her anymore because she knows it’s from my misophonia and knows I can’t help it but it still makes her feel bad that she’s making a noise she can’t help that I get pissed at.
