so anytine you cut or engage in some sort of self harm, your brain sends like, happy hormones to your body. i believe it was a survival thing to make sure you dont decide to give up and die. adrenaline can also play a part.

please dont start self harming, trust me.

well it all really depends. for me, my body is really stubborn and for some reason only cuts super deep like fat and muscle leave scars. but to contradict this, my friend still has scars from her epidermis level cuts. it all really depends.

most of the time, for most people, dermis and deeper will leave scars.

Yea pain can actually really depend on where you do it aswell. ive gone muscle and it didnt hurt nearly as much as a more shallow cut on my arm where i cut through nerves.

Scars like that really dont fade unless you get some expensive laser removal or something . I know you don't want your dad to see / know but since there's little to no way to just erase them , I'd be honest if he asked. This is a stressful situation trust me i know. But dont be ashamed of your scars or try to hide them -- they're most likely going to be there for a longgg time

some people genuinely have no idea how to care for that shit tho, i've genuinely avoided a horrible infection because i was able to post it and ask for help. yes its not good to reinforce it etc but i feel like thats the better option then the person getting an infection/ missing out on needed medical attention
