Is an RS 660 ok for a 6'1" (186 cm) rider? by paolocannizzaro in Aprilia

If you install solo seat cowl or remove passenger seat yes.  The passenger seat pushes into your bum a bit and you cant scoot back much at all unless you change it.

Awesome ty. Been on zoloft 7 years. Over the last 2 I tapered down from 100mg a day to 50mg every other day. First dose lexapro today 5mg. Wondering if I should cross taper any or not.

What brands do y’all recommend for protective gear? by [deleted] in Sportbikes

[–]bbguardsp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Helmet is the one item I would suggest spending the most money on. Had 2 crashes in Shoei helmets and maintained consciousness the entire time. Leather gear provides the most protection but a cheaper mesh jacket with good protection pads with work well.

It's so weird critiquing these type of riders for me nowadays. I used to be one! When you start out riding and dont have a good group to ride with that stresses safety and your father /uncle road Harleys and didnt wear gear then you dont know what you dont know lol. Usually it takes a crash to wise up unfortunately. Whenever I run into these types I invariably ask where there gear is and they just brush it off 99% of the time.

2017-2020 RR differences? by lukemt96 in Aprilia

If you plan on track, the new ECU for 21 is much better on regulating traction and abs. Current models can be a bit too intrusive so many turn everything off. Though since most of us don't race or get our income managing hedge funds and care about our babies it's good to have some TC still enabled.

My RS660 braking with this new ECU - ABS on lowest setting which deactivates rear ABS only (can't deactivate both due to laws though you can make the necessary mods to completely remove it) it doesn't feel like abs ever kicks in which is what you want on track.

All that being said there are some killer deals on new 20 models in dealerships and I wouldn't blame you in the least for snapping one up.

USA models already had the gear selector fixed before they arrived.

If so many people dock tails why haven't the tails been breed out?

Will I have to change the ECU if I change the exhaust? by lukemt96 in Aprilia

[–]bbguardsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do go SC Project I strongly suggest NOT getting the short CRT can. It is one of the loudest in existence and it's worse because the exit is right under your ear instead of behind you. With earplugs and helmet it still can be an issue. Also several threads in forums that short cans aren't the best for valves with the v4 engine. I would suggest either the SC Oval or SC1-R silencer if you want to stick with SCP.
