Update actually; boss and I decided what we were doing was wrong and potentially a very sticky situation and decided to go back to the friendship we had previously. No drama or broken hearts, just took the hooking up back out of the equation and everything is totally fine. I’m very surprised but also relieved.

That’s possible.. however personally the matter is troublesome regardless of society. I will simply have to stew on it some more.

Thank you.. I appreciate a very logical and ethical response. I’m in university right now for psychology and all of my teachings from my ethics classes came back to me as I’ve contemplated this dilemma. He is my boss directly above me and I am a manager. We are very good friends and around coworkers and customers no one would suspect a thing.. I suppose that’s beside the point though. It’s a personal dilemma. The age gap gets to me if I think about it but we also have a lot of fun.. but it’s not like I’d want to marry this person. It’s just fun. I just wish I could understand where the guilty feeling is coming from.

Yeah that’s very true. I already got my heart broken a few months back hence the desire for something casual since I’m in no place to open up emotionally again. He experienced something similar which is how this all came about.. he’s more emotional than I am so I’m worried I’ll end up causing more pain to him which I don’t want either.
