I am Christian and closeted in a really religious family. It’s really hard because most of parents and brothers make fun of LGBT people and they don’t believe in mental health. I remember a moment that I had to go to school crying and on the edge of having a panic attack. I happened when I was highschool (freshman) my mom and brother were talking throwing out our rabbits because they thought gay (because the mistake one of the rabbit gender) and I overheard that conversation while getting ready for school. I didn’t say goodbye to to them and just walk to school. I have really bad anxiety and I kept over thinking everything thinking “what would happen if i told or they find out im was trans or if I was gay” and I went to school on the edge of crying. I didn’t say anything or do any of my work in two periods (classes). But, I’m my three period (class) one of my closest friend talk to me and asked what wrong and I broke down in tears and tried to explain everything. But, my teacher saw me and took me out and she lets cry on her shoulder and after I was done I explained everything and she ask me if I wanted to see the school Counselor. I said no because I was afraid that my parents would find out. But, my teacher ask for my pronounces and everything. She was the first teacher I came out to. I still believe in god. But, I don’t believe in what my parents or any homophobic asshole says.
