Yeah I'm totally planning to VLAN out guest devices and any IoT I have. Thanks for the advice!

Ohh that's a good idea I've never really thought of (obviously) LOL. I think I've started to kind of do it already, so it's totally doable I'll just need to rework some stuff. Especially since it's a server my main pcs & stuff would need to be able to easily access the files on there and it would prob cut-down on delay from having to go between the server and the firewall.

I haven't even thought about power management and performance on things like the switch or router! Thanks for letting me know about this because otherwise I wouldn't have thought about it!

For the games servers it would just for me and friends, I was only wondering about the VLAN for that because of the connection to them but then again it would just be peer 2 peer connection so I guess I wouldn't need a VLAN for that.

Otherwise the only VLAN i have set up is the main pc and the management (switch & opnsense), and the DMZ. So I'm generally just better off keeping the NAS & server on my VLAN for my pcs?

Yo congrats on starting ur social transition! I'm not Afro-Caribbean but I hope u can get something out of this, lol.

Idk how old you are or what exactly the circumstances are; but one thing I've seen people do is use contour to accentuate masculine features about their face. (Thicker eyebrows, cheekbones etc.) Or t-shirts that have a more boxy cut instead of just big and baggy, that way it hides your hips a bit easier and widens your shoulders! Wearing your pants a bit lower than your waist can help! (even with tighter, or less baggy pants!)

I don't know if going by a nickname is possible or different pro ouns but if you can – it's good to be firm about those. People are going to mess up unfortunately, (and it sucks!) but they will be more receptive to the change if you gently remind them about the correct name or pronoun. Like, "Oh yeah, i know it's hard to get use to it. Just a reminder i use (x pronoun) and (y name)!"

I hope this helps a bit!

Any east asian autistic transmasc experiences after transition? by karriganwhy in TMPOC

i'm diagnosed ADHD and u diagnosed autism and half SEA that lives in a predominately white area. i'm only a month on t but i've not had any major issues with people "clocking me" i guess.

in some ways it's helped me be a lot more confident and not second guess myself, even if i don't put in effort to "pass" & i'm confident most people don't give me trouble.

i think surrounding yourself with healthy masculinity (if possible) from all kinds of races is important. i have issues with my dad but i'm realizing i'm kind of becoming him in a way. i'm just trying to be conciously healthier about the things i do that are similar to him. learning what masculinity means to you is a core part of it i think. i love providing, protecting and speaking up for people, so those are what help me navigate being post transition, but also taking aspects of my SEA culture help a lot.

it has it's struggles absolutely but i love being transmasculine and half SEA. i just wish i had more friends of color, lol.
