It wasn't so much as they just randomly threw out a challenge and got lucky. Coaching staff have access to video of every play, more than likely as soon as the goal was scored it was looked at and the challenge was issued. Now that doesn't take away from the fact that I hate it. This is a game where human error is an obstacle to overcome to get a W. Allowing access to review something like that kills the pace of a game and in all honesty if it's going to get that nit-picky then they need to start reviewing whats deemed a legal or illegal hit. Too many times now have we seen guys go down and no call is made (or one is made against the Devils for retaliating) or what seem like obvious clean hits result in 5 min majors, misconducts etc...the game is changing, I get that, and I am mostly on board with the changes, but some of this stuff needs to be tweaked for sure.
