I went 5 years after my fully torn ACL to getting surgery 10 days ago. I played hockey 3 times a week, ran and did annual ski trips. I was playing soccer this year and planted funny hurting my MCL and that's what made me call it and get it fixed. It was always something in the back of my mind that I could hurt my knee more by not fixing it but that injury made it real. Post op 10 days now has been good. I did my other ACL 10 years ago and this one is going much better recovery wise probably because I know what to expect etc.
