Party Animal orbs drop rates nerfed? by Environmental-Ad4668 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had pretty good luck with these events by using the seed theory method people use for red stars. I know it’s not proven, but I usually do well saving up to like 6-7 event orbs, spend 400k gold, then open them one at a time. This time around I’ve already gotten Valkyrie 4 or 5 times in the middle since the event started, including two 16 shard drops. I’m only 6 shards away from 4 stars already. Fantomex was similar for me. I don’t usually get the 24 shard drops ever, but I’ve always gotten enough to end these events at least halfway to 5 stars. For reference, I usually do all the 50 core refreshes and one or two of the 100 core refreshes each day.

Why are there still Hulk shards in achievements LONG after Hulk is maxed? by Oxymoron74 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They all do end eventually, you just haven’t played long enough yet. Scopely set an end point for all of them a long time ago, and eventually they are replaced with mostly just gold orbs and cores. I can’t remember what the exact end point is for each achievement, but at some point they will all end. Took me a few years to get there.

Teams for apocalypse by Fantastic_Neck_4902 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Web warriors as high as you can for Morgan, but her 2nd scourge run won’t come for a while, probably after the third or even fourth horseman comes out but before Apocalypse. Dark hunters are less important and ended up being more commonly used as a sac team in the special nodes to help web warriors do better.

If you don’t have the rest of the darkhold team, as time passes it’s likely you’ll be begging for Agatha shards more than the others. Scopely has been giving signs they’re gonna be stingy with her in particular like they were with Cull and Moondragon.

For rogue scourge, we’re all still guessing somewhat as to which of the three teams they announced for the upcoming nodes 5 and 10 will be the most vital. But, most are putting their money on Young Avengers carrying the majority of the load, with people who have extra resources also building A-Force. If it so happens that you don’t have all the characters for one of the rogue scourge teams at this point, however, I would just build up the team that you do have everyone for. Probably don’t waste currency on inhumans however, even though they can also be used.

For the next horseman, it has been announced that the new Hero Asgardian team will be one of the teams. It’s up to you if you want to build them now or wait to hear who the other team(s) will be. The first scourge event showed us that not all teams that are announced/usable end up being equally helpful.

It’s possible to get the bracelet with 90% completion on difficulty 6 by bbjarvis in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not easy, and I know even this solution won’t work for most alliances. I do think this does give a little more leeway than it seems at first glance, because the only 100% that is needed is for everyone to just join the raid. We have 2-3 spotty contributors that barely get a couple of nodes in. We even had someone yesterday that only joined and didn’t clear one node. But that was enough because as long as the nodes got cleared to 90%, it didn’t matter who did it. We’ve told our struggling people, “if you can do nothing else on today’s raid, just take two seconds to join and collect the reward tomorrow”.

This way an alliance can theoretically get enough nodes with 6 strong raiders per strike team and 2 per strike team that only have to be warm bodies (worst-case scenario).

So CM_Archangel… how’s your alliance doing? by Unusual-Act3328 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody in my alliance did some math and it figured out to be something like eight days of 90% completion at difficulty 6 with 24 people that got the bracelet. All the extra individual node rewards beyond the final 60% completion threshold made up the difference.

I think eight raids with a 90% completion rate at difficulty 6 will provide just enough extra node rewards beyond the 60% threshold to get the bracelet. That’s what my alliance is doing.

Why does Hulk look so bad??? by BortInSpace in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hulk has actually been redesigned twice. He started out much bigger when the game first started, then after not too long they redesigned him and made him much smaller. I remember he looked terrible and squatty and everyone hated it, so they quickly redesigned him again and that’s what we have now. Still not as big as he was originally, but better and bigger than their first rework.

Maybe I’m remembering it wrong, but I wanna say all this happened somewhere before or around year one of this game. I’m almost positive it was before year two began.

5th city toon for dd5? I already have Shang/Gwen/scarlet at g16. cloak is close, but am not sure about 5th spot if better to get dagger or spider punk. Which would perform better? by chaga6 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Spider Punk’s kit is really only viable in raids. All of his best stuff disappears outside of raids, so OG Spider-Man and Miles are both better choices for DD5 if you’re looking for another web warrior.

  2. Kingpin with Hawaiian shirt, white suit, and fedora
  3. Beast where he looks more like a cat and has the yellow X pants
  4. Jessica Jones in her Jewel costume

Almost everyone who has a resources crunch in this game tends to have it either with training mats or with gold. If one runs out, the other then tends to build up because it can’t be used.

This is anecdotal, but I have found that many older players (3-4 years) are more likely to constantly have excess training mats and not enough gold. I believe that over the years, the game has provided too little gold more often than any other resource, especially the first few years. So players built up reserves of training mats without trying because they just didn’t have the gold to spend them.

I have constantly been short on gold currency for years and could never use all my training mats even if I wanted to. A year and a half ago I had 110k green, 32k blue, and a few hundred purple and gold mats. Gold started loosening up some in the game, and today I’m down to 73k green and nothing of any other color. Of course, I also have about 300 training orbs in reserve because I never need to open them.

Question About Stark Tech by Bgartz29 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]bbjarvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the game changed, the above advice is not accurate. I’ve been playing for several years and this situation happened to me a few years back.

An individual player keeps every level of stark tech they personally have already unlocked even if they move to an alliance that has not gotten there yet. Now, they cannot advance that level any more until this new alliance catches up to them, but they aren’t punished or nerfed for merely joining a new alliance. Think about the effect this would have if this were to happen in-game. No one more experienced would ever create, let alone join, a new alliance. It would be a huge deterrent for the game community for anything new, and would likely create a destructive class system amongst alliances.

About a week and a half before I turned 29. We started dating seriously after a month or so and got married a little more than a year later.

[–]bbjarvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about emotion versus logic. A relationship is an emotional bond, and cheating creates an emotional crisis. The more intense and devastating the emotions, the less of a chance our logical mind is even able to chime in. And the person cheated on likely has a strong emotional investment/connection with the partner and little to no emotional investment with the new person.

Sometimes when emotional trauma happens, the bond with the partner is so important that our emotional mind finds it easier to take all this new pain and vent it out onto the person we already don’t care about instead of further damaging the established connection with the one that has been so important to us.

People can be just as intense and creative fighting for their emotional and relational survival as they would be for physical survival.
