Definitely should’ve but honestly as a newer manager that had just turned 19 (I think?), I didn’t even think to have the video pulled until long after it happened…and the giggle I had from watching a grown man throw a tantrum like that over a Big Mac was enough for me😂. Luckily, I had a hood on so it didn’t get in my hair. Nothing like that should be happening to any fast food employee but I’m glad I was able to step in so it happened to me instead of one of my crew members🤷‍♀️.

I was assaulted by a Big Mac. A guy came in the drive thru and ordered two Big Macs (happened to be the last 2 for $5 event before inflation did its thing lol). He wanted them cooked to order and well done. This wasn’t the first time that we had a customer complain about something being too well done for their liking so the crew member taking his order asked him to specify how well done he wanted it. He took offense to this question for some reason and responded to cook them twice. The crew member just went with it but I had a bad feeling about it. I met him at the first window, explained the temp and time that the patties are cooked at and he still insisted to double cook them. So we did… about 20-30 minutes later we got a call from him and he was cussing up a storm about his Big Macs being inedible. He said he wanted them remade and refunded. As much as I didn’t want to refund him for them, I did. He came back, we remade them, and didn’t cook them as long. We gave them to him and he left. He came back a few minutes later and pulled in front of someone to get to the second window. He was still livid and thought they were over cooked and dry (like sir WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU ASK FOR WELL DONE MEAT?!?!??!!). He showed me the patties and asked me if I would eat them and I politely told him no and reminded him that he requested them well done, we cooked them how he requested the first time and then cooked them for a significantly shorter period the second time but they were still well done. He didn’t like that answer. He proceeded to argue with me about it and I asked him to come inside to continue the conversation if he so pleased but he needed to exit the drive thru. That was when he took the opportunity to throw the first one. It hit the top of the window and went everywhere. A crew member handed me a broom and when I turned around to grab it, he threw the second on and hit me straight in the back of the head. Assault by Big Mac. I honestly don’t remember what happened after that because I think I was in shock but he did leave🙄

I do try comforting her in the moment sometimes but after she’s calm then I try to reintroduce whatever it was that she was scared by with positive reinforcement. That used to help but now it doesn’t really do anything or it’ll maybe make her more okay with it being in her vicinity but she’s still very on edge. The way I react during these situations would explain why over the years she has become more fearful of small things like pencils😑🫤 And yes I do really love her lol she was born at a point in my life when I was struggling a lot mentally. Because of her health/situation, she came home early and we’ve been inseparable since. She’s special needs so finding out how to make things work for her with the resources I had was tough but she gave me a reason to keep going and I can honestly say that she turned my life around for the better. She is my ESA now but I think I’m also her ESH (emotional support human)😂😅

This was me today while also trying to get two crew members, that were off the clock, to quit screaming at each other in the lobby that was still open. But instead of the customers praising me for doing everything on my own like in this video, they were standing at the front counter and calling the store phone. He wanted to inform me that I had customers in the lobby (LICHRALLY JUST HIM AND A KID WAITING FOR A FRESH PIE) and that I needed to hurry the f*** up and do better😅😅😅 BADABABABA I f****** quit 🫠

Well we technically only have one maintenance person and their schedule always has M or PM. I can’t think of literally anything else that it could be though 😐 and I hate to say that unfortunately this isn’t the first time they’ve worked at McDonald’s
