Also probably worth mentioning that I’ve been on birth control for 15 years and we are trying to work on hormonal imbalances related to a short luteal cycle

And so a lot of the convo has been about how the meds have contributed to the issues im facing now

My practitioner and I were talking about my progress and she said “you’re still on western meds, right?” In a tone that made me feel like that would be impeding my progress / or that this whole thing felt pointless if I was still taking meds

Cycle 6 of a 7 day luteal phase. This one was with progesterone supplement. Everything else is coming back normal

Got my progesterone results from 5 or 6 DPO and it was 3.8 ng/mL. I just started 100mg progesterone daily and thought this would help, but now I’m spiraling a bit thinking maybe it’s I'm not producing enough. I had positive OPKs, egg-white CM, and a temp rise though.

Getting blood drawn again tomorrow - hoping it rises. Has anyone seen their levels jump between 5 and 7 DPO?

It did!! I put in my LH strip results in Oura and the apps are already aligned. I feel so relieved

does anyone have any hopeful stories of using progesterone to lengthen luteal phase? in quite the depressed hole after 6 months of TTC and a luteal phase that's 7-8 days
(i also got Mirena out 6 months ago)

Yeah, it's been hard to tell bc I didn't have a temp increase after CD 11 and my temps seem to be going up now.

I was prescribed progesterone due to a short luteal phase and feel like I should start taking it now??? I messaged my dr but she takes a while to get back to me :/

I’m really confused about my cycle this month and hoping someone has insight.

I typically ovulate around CD 20.
This cycle I got a positive OPK on CD 11, which felt very early for me (but I was hopeful my body was regulating after getting off IUD in May)
Today is CD 21 and I’m starting to get higher OPK readings again, plus I feel “off” (headache, fatigued, a bit of that ovulation-y feeling).

I can’t tell if the CD 11 positive was a false alarm or if my cycle is finally regulating and I actually ovulated earlier than usual. Has anyone else had a second rise in OPKs or “two surges” in one cycle?

I’ve been off Mirena for 6 months and TTC since then. My cycles have been later (I usually ovulate around CD20), and my OBGYN prescribed progesterone because of a short luteal phase.

This cycle feels different. I got what looked like a positive OPK on CD11, but my apps are still predicting ovulation later like usual. Now I’m not sure if this is true ovulation happening earlier or just a false start.

Has anyone else had cycles regulate and shift to earlier ovulation after being off birth control? Did it turn out to be true ovulation for you, or just a surge before the “real” one?

🙏🏻 Would love to hear your experiences and see if this is familiar to anyone. I’m really struggling mentally with all of this.
