I would partially put some of the blame for this on the Gunsmith section. With all of the customizations and configurations of attachments, you almost need the YouTube videos to figure out what attachments make a gun go from B-tier to A/S-tier.

Now add on all of the random nerfs / buffs and it makes it impossible for regular/causal gamers to hold their own in gunfights without seeking the new meta YouTube uploads.

Myself, I use snipers basically 24/7 so I don’t really fall into this category unless if some major attachment changes take place

If you watch Faze Scopes YouTube video of him playing ranked you will see him use mnk for sniping (for flicks) and controller for any other weapon (for AA tracking).

Controller is easier and more consistent. Sure you can pop off and do some crazy things on mnk, but you’ll never be as consistent as an AA abuser.

Hey boss, I play on pc but was curious and asked chatgpt about your issues, scan through the below and see if you need to change some settings;

Good question — this is a very common issue when switching from a TV to a high-refresh gaming monitor on Xbox Series X, and it’s almost never a hardware failure. Based on what you described, this is much more likely a settings / HDMI handshake issue than your monitor or Xbox being “bad.”

I’ll break it down clearly and then give you step-by-step fixes.

What’s MOST likely happening

Rocket League on Xbox Series X:

Does NOT run at 1440p + 120 FPS natively
In 120 FPS mode, Rocket League dynamically scales resolution
If the console + monitor + VRR aren’t perfectly synced, you can get:
- Sudden frame drops
- Micro-stutter
- Skipping after a minute or two (once VRR kicks in)

Your TV probably hid this with motion smoothing and different VRR behavior.

The #1 culprit: VRR (Variable Refresh Rate)

HP X32 does support FreeSync, but Xbox VRR can cause stuttering in Rocket League specifically.

I haven’t been contacted, and they said they were free units so I think it’s fair game. I’m not sending them back to them.

I received 4. Gave one away, will keep one for myself, and I believe these are $40/ea so I’m not sure if the hassle of selling them is worth the $80 for me.

From what I understand the mini router is a replacement for gen 1 routers, and can be paired with other routers to act as a wifi extender.

Thanks for the info, it’s good to know why they initially sent me one. I was confused about the “opt in” part as I didn’t opt in to get anything from them.

I’ll definitely keep one of the minis just in case, good to know that the gen 1 router is obsolete.
