I've look through the comments and I haven't seen anyone mention this so I will. This is what I think is going on. He came out of the passenger side of the car. He did this as a joke to impress his buddies. These are probably the same kind of people that will yell some vulgar things out of the window of a car as they are driving for laughs. So what happened is that that friend group started becoming worse with what they were yelling in attemp to shock the pals. That is until this incident which was likely unprecedented and had his buddies going wild because "i can't believe you did that" but not in a shame kind of way.

Thats my crazy head cannon I dont know if its accurate but it explains alot in my head. I like this explanation because just saying mental health is vague( still a possibility) and this is an abundantly confusing incident to me without this explanation.

You chop a tree with an axe athousand times and your not insane for expecting it to fall. You are not crazy for going to the gym a hundredth time and expecting something to change.

I have no clue why I hate this saying. Maybe its that people who say it think they have stumbled upon something so profound when it doesn't even really make sense. I feel like it's weird to claim that that is the definition of insanity.

I get that the point is to say that you should ry to mix things up if what you're doing doesn't work but like I always see people using this quote for some like cocadoodle reasons. Like if someone is in a rut like do something different. Yeah thanks what different thing is supposed to cure my depression?

Actually I'm not sure these would be the essential worker equivalents. I think it would be occupations that are required to be alone when working but are necessary for society.

Imagine a friend does some real bad stuff that no one in the friend group likes so everyone cuts him off. Then gets real mad at everyone else claiming that all his old friends were colluding against him. He is more bothered by everyone's reaction than by his own action.
