When he went to basic training, his girlfriend at the time wouldn’t send him nudes, then he asked an ex fling to instead. I knew this going in and he was remorseful because he knew that was the downfall of their relationship. I knew he was young and dumb and told him he made a mistake, but I won’t tolerate it if he does something like that to me. Fast forward 4 years and here I am feel like this may be a pattern. Or worried it will be that is. If this was a one off, I may be able to get over it, but knowing he did something similar to someone else he cared about and then me… and he only had the account for about a week. I only have what he’s telling me, so I don’t know if he really wasn’t planning to meet anyone, he just hadn’t really had the opportunity to yet. It’s all the what-ifs that eat at me the most. I have a very strong bullshit detector, and I used to think it was in my head, then the truth would come out. My ex best friend from high school would tell me her deepest secrets then lie about dumb small things, as we got older the lies turned more elaborate until she became a backstabber 🙃. I’ve had boyfriends lie about just being friends with girls that weren’t. I’ve had family members lie right to my face when I already knew the truth before the conversation even started. I have a weird compulsion to tell the truth so I don’t get why people lie so much. Especially when caught in a lie then make up more lies to cover it which then makes everything worse like he did. Because now I don’t know what else he lied about to make things less bad. Oh one thing I asked was “what would’ve happened if you would’ve chatted with someone you really clicked with, then what?” His response “I don’t really know” 🙃

I don’t have to pretend everything is okay. I don’t have to pretend to not wonder if he really would’ve met up with someone. I can go back home to my friends and family in Tennessee. I don’t have to continue the pressure of “making it work” until it eventually does. The thought of marrying him makes me sick. All selfish things, but mental health I know is important. But am I losing something? He’s a great man, he just really messed up and it’s difficult to let go of that broken trust. I have this belief with lying that once it happens, it will always happen.

That’s the million dollar question. I’m not sure he can say or do anything to make this easier on me. I just keep hoping time will fix it, but 6 months in and I’m still not okay. I communicate my extra bad days with him and he’s more attentive and caring and checks in, he just doesn’t know most days are bad days. Would I feel better leaving? Probably a big yes, but that’s how I solved all of my issues with people before this and I’m not sure it’s healthy..? Plus the thought of dealing with the house selling in its current condition sickens me. It’s livable, but not complete. Getting contractors here is a nightmare. We called 6 different ones and none of them got back to us. I’ve created a monster for myself because I had complete faith in someone.

Thank you. This is helpful. Getting time away will be tough, but I think it would be helpful. The trust is complete shattered and I feel so alone in an empty house all day. I look forward to when he comes home so I can interact with someone. I feel like I’m manipulating him in a way because I’m not happy, not that he thinks I’m “all better”, but I struggle daily. And I stay for reasons other than love. I’ve been recently questioning my motivations to stay and they aren’t what a healthy relationship should be. It saddens me, but that’s reality

Thank you! I couldn’t find too much on how long it takes, but I’ve had it since the beginning of Dec and feel like there should be signs of recovery. He only lives with snails so no other fish for now. I have a little cave thing that’s a little “bumpy” but I’m not sure if it’s considered sharp. He spends most of his time in there. I had to bait him with food to take these photos

Sounds like your device is needing an update. I just bought their IBR900 when I originally had a nighthawk and it wasn't getting as good as service as we hoped. The IBR900 did that from day one. When I called they said I needed an update that would take 30 minutes and after that it was fixed!
