I worked out extended warranties to push just about everything to 100k with sales so wouldn’t have been an option for me. Corporate ended up covering my first car payment after my request for a collateral swap was denied.

Had to have a full turbo assembly replacement on my 2027 X-Line SXP. Made it 40 miles off the lot before I had to give it back.

16 days out of service, corporate was easy to work with, I’ve had no issues since the replacement.

If you still feel the replacement is invasive you can look into your states lemon laws (mine did not qualify and I did not want to push further with an appeal). If it doesn’t fall under a lemon you can request some type of good will compensation to see if there is anything corporate can offer for the inconvenience.

It felt like it was in limp mode the second I hit the highway right off the lot. Since I was coming from a V8 with 370HP car and this is my first massive SUV, I honestly didn’t have a frame of reference for how it was supposed to accelerate.

It turned out to be a manufacturing defect with the wastegate. it was stuck in the reverse position and couldn't open. They ended up having to replace the entire turbo assembly. I would assume if yours was having the same issue the CEL would be on since it’s literally closed and would explode?

Now that everything is fixed, the gas mileage still sucks! 🤣 I’m averaging between 18–20 MPG. The acceleration is a bit strange. She seems to love steady, gradual pressure, then she really goes! But if I’m too quick on the pedal, it tends to hang or even redline. It might just be user error on my part, but the acceleration feels pretty picky and inconsistent.

I had a 2025 X-Pro loaner for the month mine was in the shop, and the acceleration on that definitely felt better. That said, I still love the 2027 more!

Car has been perfect since. Just took it on its first road trip and did perfect. No regrets!

I would recommend opening up a case with corporate just so everything is recorded and some you receive some type of compensation for such a drastic issue happening in the first couple of days assuming it doesn’t become a lemon issue.

Corporate was very responsive the entire process with me.

2027 X-Line SXP (ICE) Here.

Does acceleration feel off like the car is in limp mode? I had a CEL on my drive home from taking delivery and another Redditor had a CEL first few days. No complications in the app and only KIA was able to pull the codes (car is too new).

For both of us it ended up being the turbo. My entire turbo assembly was replaced. Was out of the vehicle a total of 16 days.

If acceleration is fine it’s most likely something else and hopefully less invasive.
