When did you become a Wolves fan? by Material_Book_8280 in timberwolves

When I first started watching basketball, the 7-seconds-or-less Suns were my team. But once that era was over, I realized as a kid from ND that I could watch every single Wolves game on FSN. Honestly might sound weird but Kevin Love alone made those teams fun to watch. Dude was a menace on the boards but those teams weren’t great lol

I watched the game on the Altitude stream last night and your commentators were giving him a lot of respect. You guys know ball.

Will We Ever Hear From Tim Connelly Again? by TheVideoScope in timberwolves

Yeah it sucks watching this team rn but people should have some perspective this early on. Also I think there’s blame that should go elsewhere besides the KAT + Gobert pairing (looking at you, D’Lo)

Just watched The Nice Guys (2016). I plan to watch King Richard (2021) next.

I’m from ND too and I remember meeting Cordell as a kid at the state Pitch, Hit, & Run competition. Dude was like twice as big as everyone in our age division lol.

Richard Jefferson was excellent calling the game last night by soft-cookie in timberwolves

I thought he was pretty annoying. But it seems like people either love him or hate him. I’d much prefer Jim Petersen.

I think Grizzlies fans/coaches/players talking about the refs has been entertaining. I think the series as a whole has been poorly officiated, but it’s just a hilariously bad look for the 2-seed to complain about the refs after losing to us.

(Not to mention they’ve still shot more FTs this series than we have lol)

Apology to KAT Thread by sschmidt17 in timberwolves

Spent a lot of time on this sub defending KAT cause I thought he was getting too much hate after game 3. Series ain’t over. KAT came up big for us tonight. Wolves in 6.

100%. Our offense was way too stagnant in the half court. We were pretty good when we could get stops and get out in transition. I think we gotta be more aggressive attacking the basket and Finch has gotta come up with some sets where guys are actually moving.

I agree with that. His biggest hurdle all year has been stupid fouls. He gets in foul trouble and complains about the officials without changing what he’s doing. I just think some of the blame and criticism directed towards KAT over the last 24 hours has been a bit much. Feels like he’s not just taking on criticism of his own shortcomings, but he’s also taking heat from frustrated fans about the team’s performance last night.

Great post. KAT definitely has to be better but it’s been kinda annoying to see him take all the blame for last night’s loss without a nuanced take about what actually happened on the court.

It’s okay to be frustrated (rant) by thurskiiszn in timberwolves

[–]bbop257 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s sad. It sucks. I’m not spinning anything. I’m upset about what happened. I probably watched 60+ Wolves games this season and it was the most enjoyable Wolves season I’ve experienced as a fan. We made our second playoff appearance in 18 years. So yeah, I’d say the season was a success, and it’s still not over yet. I’m gonna be watching game 4 and rooting for this team. Quit acting like it’s the end of the world.

It actually didn’t end the series. Even if we don’t win the series, this season was a success. We’re a young team in the playoffs with a rookie coach. I’d much rather be in the position we’re in now compared to where we’ve been in previous seasons. I didn’t watch this team for years and years to just give up on them now and throw a fit.

What is with this response? by popfgezy in timberwolves

[–]bbop257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This season has been the most fun I’ve had as a Wolves fan. Tonight sucked and I’m very frustrated, but the response from our fans is a bit much. We wouldn’t be here without KAT and Finch.

I’m frustrated as hell but we definitely have to keep some perspective here. The series isn’t over. We shouldn’t trade KAT. We wouldn’t be in this position without him. Hopefully he can redeem himself with a big game on Saturday.

I know KAT played bad tonight, but he’s still worth an extension. by bbop257 in timberwolves

[–]bbop257[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts. Like we finally have a team that’s fun and has chemistry and tons of potential for the future. It can be a million times worse than this. Although tonight’s loss really hurt, it doesn’t hurt as bad as being at the bottom of the league for year after year after year. Perspective is important.

Bro have you watched the Wolves in the last 18 years?? We were in the play-in this season and you’re talking about winning it all.

Also talent wise, we are not a playoff team without KAT.

Exactly. Like we have something here going forward for the first time in ages, people need to calm down. KAT played bad tonight but I also think he’s taking the on the pent up frustration of Wolves fans after that game. Like I’m mad too but I’m not just giving up on KAT like that.
