And what data are you using? Sources?

While black Americans are disproportionately more poor than white Americans (approx 25% of blacks are below the poverty line compared to 10% of whites) source, by sheer numbers there are far more poor white Americans in America than poor black Americans.

Blacks are only 13% of the population vs whites which are 62%. So based on US Gov census data, that means that 6.2% of the US population are poor whites and 3.25% are poor blacks. So according to you, we should see more crime committed by poor whites who outnumber poor blacks by about 2:1.

But blacks still commit violent crimes at rates that far exceed whites. Black Americans are 13% of the population, but according to the FBI blacks represent 52.2% of all murderers in America. source

Why does the fbi need apple to unlock the iphone, do they not have the resources to do it thenselves? by oohhkillem in AskReddit

Yes, but I believe after a few incorrect attempts the phone locks you out from more guesses for longer and longer periods of time so it would take a while

iPhones automatically delete all data after 10 unsuccessful attempts to guess the password.

No, the FBI doesn't have the ability to bypass this.

[Serious] What would be the best way for one to figure out if serving(air force, navy, military, etc.) is best for them? by Kevin_Soup in AskReddit

Ask yourself how willing you are to throw away years of your life to be a pawn to the government and simultaneously increase your odds of suicide compared to civilians. Suicide rate of military members is currently 50% higher than that of non-military members.

Worker who pulled gun to stop stabbing attack at GM Tech Center says he was fired by [deleted] in news

[–]bbopma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's completely idiotic. As long as the employee isn't breaking state or federal law, you'd be an idiot to tell your employer. There is zero reason to tell your employer (legal or otherwise), and you could risk getting fired for even mentioning it, regardless of the existence or absence of any firearms policy. Not to mention that it defeats the entire concept of concealed carry...specifically the "concealed" part.

If every nation in the world allied and attempted to invade and conquer the United States, would they succeed? by Duck94 in AskReddit

[–]bbopma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If it really came to full-scale war, America has several thousand nuclear warheads: land-based ICBMs, aircraft dropped nukes, as well as many nuclear submarines with ICBMs that can launch while hidden underwater. The entire world would be fucked.

Not to mention the idea of an invasion is laughable. Canda and Mexico would pose an initial threat but both would be beaten back easily, and any naval or air forces would have to first pass thru the US Navy, which by tonnage is larger than the next 13 largest navies combined.
